  • transferring a penny from a paypal personal to paypal business account works. you lose the penny in fees, but not charged the 20p some people are mentioning. this is the fastest and easiest way of doing it i can see, though it does cost you 50p...which if youre that bothered about can be refunded from your business paypal account to your personal one without the swept change being restored!

£2.44 added to savings account today from "save the change".

£12.80 going from current account overnight a la "save the change"! I have done loads of £1.01's and £1.02's over the weekend (egg card, egg money and morgan stanley card)! This is just some of them!

Did a few more today too!
  • If I am not permanent resident of UK and have arrived in UK last year (10months back)... can I apply for egg savings account?

..Incidentally Lloyds put a temporary block on your card if you make more than 15 transactions in a day. (Mine were online paypal pennies) Easily removed, but save the hassle and stick to 15 or less.

I applied to "save the change" online last week. I have all the accounts there, but no save the change activity is showing yet. I have plenty of £xx.01 transactions on my account, but none have saved any change. Any idea on how long it takes to get working?
    Happy chappy
  • Hello all! This is only my second post! Just posted on the save the change thread in the savings chat forum, but now have seen more posts here! Just to say that I've topped up gift cards with a couple of £2.01 transactions- Boots and Starbucks so far. I visit both Boots and Starbucks regularly, so will soon spend these amounts on my gift cards. Only worth doing in places you regularly shop though, and only if there aren't queues, don't want to annoy fellow shoppers! Thanks to all for the other ideas - considering opening an Egg account and have made more trips to the petrol station! My sister told me yesterday she has already clocked up over £9 from save the change!! :T
    Peace and love! :happylove
