Just made a debit card payment into my Moneybooker account. Haven't saved the change at all. Deducted exactly the same amount. I did register with Llyods last month and received confirmation. So not sure if it works. Anyone try to use the debit card yet?

See condition 2 of the save the change T&C's (change will be 'saved' at the end of the working day).

I'm expecting to see my £1.01 payment turn into a £2 payment once it's showing online (my payment isn't showing online at the moment, but my available balance is £1.01 less than it was).

The reason they wait until the end of the day is because they say they won't save the change if doing so would take you overdrawn - and at 12:30pm you may not have finished spending yet!!
  • Did a £1.01 transaction from the debit card to my Lloyds Saving Account... lets wait and see!

I don't think credits are applied until the end of the month, so we won't know until then.

    From the T&C's:

Important Information about the Lloyds TSB Save the Change Scheme

    2. If you enrol in the Save the Change scheme we will round up the amount of any VISA debit card purchase debited to your nominated current account to the nearest whole pound and transfer the difference (the “change”) from your current account to the eligible Lloyds TSB savings account you have nominated to receive your “change”. Whole pound purchases will not be rounded up to the next pound. The aggregate amount of “change” from debit card purchases debited to your current account will be transferred to your nominated savings account at the end of each working day.

    [...]

Save the Change February and March Matching promotion

    2. Matching funds for February purchases will be credited to your nominated savings account before 1 April 2007 and for March purchases before 1 May 2007, providing that an eligible savings account is still open and you are still participating in the Save the Change scheme on the date that the matching funds are credited.
So, theoretically, something bought for £1.01 today will result in
    1) 99p being moved between your current account and your savings account 'today' (in reality probably in 3 days,) and
    2) a further 99p being credited to your savings account 'some time before 1st April.
