Free solar panel feedback discussion: HomeSun

Team arrived at 1100 this morning.
Removed scaffolding and left premises at 1140.
Extremely efficient and courteous.
This morning, 7th Dec., another team arrived to remove scaffolding, they had driven fifty miles!
The driver, had another job in Bideford, (not too far away)
Seems that there is a glitch in communications between Homesun, Installers and Scaffolders.
Drivers would be well advised to telephone customers before setting out on jobs.0 -
It seems all is lost with Homesun. They just don't care about anything less than making an excessive profit.
Luckily, there are companies out there who are still prepared to fit a free system under the revised FIT conditions. I am in touch with two of them and the first is providing a survey next week. I only regret being conned by Homesun in the first place. I have learned a lesson. Oh, and "You and Yours" are preparing a programme on Radio 4 soon about "Problems with free solar panel companies" and inviting comments from anyone affected - fill yer boots folks!0 -
Anyone who pays for a Rent a Roof system needs their head read.
Some of Homesun's clients paid £500 and £5 a month maintenance fee - while Homesun pocket the 43p/kWh FIT - an absolute disgrace. Many will actually be paying out(£60 pa) more than they will save using the solar generated electricity.0 -
I don't believe what's just occured!
Just got a call from Homesun person asking who my energy prodider is and wanted to know what my meter reading was. When I asked why I was told that they're gathering data to use in their case against the government FiT reduction.
She most most surprised when I told her that I didn't have a solar system and told her of the two failed installations. According to her information I had my system installed.
What in God's name is going on?0 -

Hi DoctorBanzai,
The reason why you were called is because our system indicated that you had been installed. However after looking into the matter further it appears a technical error had occured on your specific record which triggered the call with regards to savings. Please accept our appologies.

With all due respect Tanya, I called the Homesun legal team this morning because I was concerned about my land registry entry and if it had been changed to reflect our lease.
I was assured that the change would only be triggered IF the installation had completed. Our records were checked and it clearly showed that there had not been an installation.
I hope that, if for some reason there are more than one set of records for us, they have been corrected to reflect the facts, as I would be extremely unhappy if any of our property documentation were to be modified at this late stage.0 -

Hi DoctorBanzai,
Sorry about the confusion, you did speak to our legal team however the system that the team calling you regarding savings had at that time not been updated.
Thanks for being so understanding, you shouldn't have to deal with any more confusion, and I apologise that you have.

Hi
So what are home Sun exspecting the goverment to do in the middle of January.

Below is an email I have just sent to Homesun. This is the final straw.
Sir,
Below is a message that was sent to my wife today.
How DARE you send this. My wife has had enough stress already. I'm sick and tired of this entire fiasco and intend to report this to every professional body, media outlet and political body I can think of.
You are a disgrace and should be ashamed of the standard of 'customer service' you provide.

>>
>> Dear xxxx
>>
>> I’m pleased to hear that your installation is now complete and that you’re generating your own free electricity from the sun. Isn’t that a great feeling?
>>
>> Just to let you know that one of my team will be giving you a call to introduce themselves to you as they will now be looking after you for any questions you may have on an on-going basis. Their first job is to run through our Quality Survey. It will only take 5 minutes – but it is a very useful way of monitoring and improving our performance, and so it would be great if you could spare the time.
>>
>> There are a couple of outstanding pieces of paperwork – your DC Electrical Certificate and a Certified copy of the executed Lease with our declaration under Landlord and Tenant Act 1954. These can take up to a month to be with you, as and when Lease is successfully registered with HMLR. The moment we have them all completed we will send them on to you.
>>
>> Separately, you will also receive – from an organisation called Elecsa – an electrical certificate confirming that your installation complies with the relevant Part P Building Regulations. The certificate will mention the fact that you should have the option to purchase an insurance backed warranty. This is unnecessary in your case because HomeSun continues to maintain the system.
>>
>> Finally, of course, if you’d like to tell everyone else you know about us – we’d love it! Our partner programme – as you probably know – means that we send you £50 (a cheque or M&S vouchers) every time someone gets a HomeSun installation from your recommendation. And the person you’ve recommended gets £50 off a £500 SolarShare installation. Just go to the recommender section of our website to give us the details. Any questions, please just give us a call in the Customer Team and we will sort it out.
>>
>> Thank you again for choosing HomeSun and making a difference to the UK’s carbon footprint.
>>
>> Best regards

You should see the garbage Krish Patel posted earlier on MSE.
He made outrageous claims and offered to give a couple of us access to a customer, when that offer was accepted he backed down and disappeared from MSE.
Head of Customer Services eh! Wow how impressive is that.0
