If your paying by paypal, then thats quite acceptable as proof of purchase. Ive had thousands of items with no invoice.
Why didn't you state your requirements BEFORE bidding?

Is it possible for some advice please?
I purchased a combined DVD/TV recorder from Samsung and it's broken after less than 1.5 years. It's outside of the manufacturers warranty but I read that either under the EU consumer rights protection or sales of goods act 1979, I should still be protected regardless of the warranty period ending under reasonable circumstances.
After writing to Samsung last week, they were very unhelpful and told me they were not prepared to do anything about it. What's the next steps? thanks in advance.
Every item has 12 months - but most people don't realise the item is still expected to last a reasonable amount of time AFTER that. This was even in place BEFORE the EU stated so. Problem was you need engineers reports etc - which is why most people didn't persue.
But the EU now state 2 years - so good news for you. This might help:-

After three months you are entitled to a remedy. You can choose that remedy, which could be a replacement, repair or refund, but you cannot force Currys to supply a remedy that is disproportionate... so effectively they choose the remedy.
All that assumes that the fault wasn't due to your carelessness or misuse.
So in summary, ask Currys for the remedy you want and see what they say.0 -
On November 6 I booked to stay at the MAX apartments in Manchester on NYD for £85. My partner from Dublin is coming over so I thought I would get us somewhere nice to stay. TODAY (18th December) I received a phone call from the apartments informing me that they now require me to put down a £500 pound deposit or my booking will be cancelled! I cant afford to have that amount of money to leave my bank, especially not so close to xmas! At no point when I booked was I asked to pay a deposit or that I may be asked in the future. A confirmation notice was emailed to me saying that everything had been confirmed and payment had been accepted. Are they allowed to do this? Can I refuse and still stay there?0

Can anyone tell me when the guarantee starts for goods ordered online?
Is it at the time of ordering or at time of receipt of goods?
I have just had a heater fail and wrote to the company a year and a day after the order was placed and they don't want to cover it under guarantee even though I explained that it failed before a year had elapsed. My fault I know for not writing to them sooner.
Many thanks if you can enlighten me.0 -
"3 for 2, Mix & match, cheapest item free".
If I purchase 3 identical £10 items and 3 identical £5 items, should I pay for:
- 2 x £10 + 2 x £5 = £30
- 3 x £10 + 1 x £5 = £35
Nutricentre.com are trying to charge me the second. I think this is wrong. Who's right?

You would be better off doing 2 separate transactions a) 3 x £10 = £20, b) 3 x £5 = £10. Total = £30.
If you bought 3 x £10 and 3 x £5, you get the cheapest two free, therefore you would pay for all three £10 items and one £5 item = £35.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
I wonder if you guys could let me have your thoughts on this.....
We booked a big holiday cottage for a large family group. It was booked mid June last year and we paid £1300 deposit. The holiday is in August 2014.
Just after Christmas I went to have a look at the website again to check some stuff and the web page had disappeared. I mailed them to query it and started to worry. After a couple of days chasing I finally got transferred to someone who said ' sorry that house has been sold and the new owners won't honour the bookings' And that's it so far.
I'm pretty sure I'll get the deposit back but I'm so mad that nobody told me and can't believe they can just end the contract like that. What should I do or say next? I don't really want an alternative with them."A savoury muffin?? As if life wasn't disappointing enough!" Miranda0
