Hi
I dont know if im using this site right, but a quick question...
I bought a pram for £669 in Jan, hoping it would last me years, after 9 months it is weather worn, faded and looks very shabby. I have complained to the makers but they have asked me to show it to distributors I bought it from. Do I have any rights?? Its not shabby due to misuse and I just think it should have been more durable than it has proved to be. My family agree that it is poor quality material and for the price something should be done about it.
I just wanted to have an idea of my rights if the distributors are funny with me... Thanks Clifford0 -

It might be an idea to read MSE's Consumer Rights article.0 -
Quick question, is it the buyers responsibility to ensure they receive their receipt, or the sellers responsibility?0

Receipts (I think) are not a legal requirement so neither has the explicit responsibility.Thinking critically since 1996....0

I went into Zara today, I bought a dress friday for cash, it was £35.99, the cashier was in a bit of a fluster cause he didn't have enough £1 coins in his till so asked if I could give him one so he could give me £5.01 back. I gave him one, and he gave me my change, I can't remember him giving me my receipt or putting it in my bag. While he was giving me my change a customer came behind me trying to push in front of the other queue, so he was telling them it was one queue.
Well anyway, I didn't like the dress so wanted to return it, (just for an exchange).
The guy at the store was so rude to me and told me it was my responsibility to make sure I got the receipt. (He initially asked where my receipt was and I told him I don't remember getting it) *tuts* I'm just annoyed, he was so rude. End rant. Lol.0 -
Ask to see the manager.
No excuse for them to be rude to you.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
Can anyone offer advice please? I get two emails each month - one from MBNA and one from Virgin Media - they are statements of account - except I'm not the account holder, it must be someone with a similar email address. I've tried calling both companies and sending recorded delivery letters instructing them to remove my email address and proactively find out the right email address - otherwise their customers will continue not to get the information these companies are trying to send them. Anyone got any other advice - I'm happy to continue just routing these straight to the email bin, but would be have one more go at fixing it. thanks, Kevin0

If they are statements of account and include 'confidential' information (ie stuff you shouldn't know) warn them they are contravening the terms of the Data protection Act and suggest they need to amend their records?
