hi,wonder if you can give me any ideas on what to do,i had quite a few bingo sites and decided to close some down and self exclude on others because i could not work out how to close my account down,i started an account with posh bingo and played only on that site for a few weeks, had no real luck, deposited quite a lot and to my suprise won £3000 on the slots so i imediatly withdrew £1000 and then waited till the next day to withdraw another £1000 and then when i logged in the next day to make withdrawal my account was closed by security, contacted them by email and had to wait 3 days for reply, spoke to customer services and they were no help except to say my money was frozen and i would not recieve it,i was then told that because i self excluded on one of their "sister sites" they would not pay me, they do not advertise on there sites that they are connected, so dont understand if they are not advertising as sister sites are they legaly withholding my winnings? because they did not have issues taking my money while i was losing until i won then there was a problem, what can i do , help!!!!!! have not recived a penny!!!0

BT want to charge me £231.30 for cancelling infinity.I am doing this as they failed to install the equipment on 31-01-2012 between 1pm to 6pm then failed to fit the equipment the follwing morning guaranteed by them. They eventually fitted the equipment on the 02-02-2012 (3 days late ) I had to take the time off work I am a refrigeration engineer & this has cost my company approx £400 to £500 pounds due to their delays without any notice of them not being able to attend to fit equipment. they have offerd me £10.00. I am not after £500.00
but the offer of £10.00 is an insult so I want to cancell the contract where do I stand. Sorry if i have not gone through the proper channels as i am a new to this appoligies again.0 -

Me & my partner went to Lanzarote on 13th Feb this year with Thomas Cook, I paid £8 each for meals for both of us there & back total £16 each flight. We only booked flights with Thomas Cook, not the hotel.
When departing from Manchester we were told the passangers had to be split onto 2 smaller planes due to an issue with the original plane. Fine. We boarded our flight and it wasn't until we over heard the passengers in front talk that we discovered the plane we were on would not be having a in flight meal service. I complained to the flight attendant & given a small microwavable meal, as we had booked meals we had not eaten prior in the airport so were left very hungry. Needless to say I will not be flying with Thomas Cook again.
I have email their complaints department over this and they have offered me not my partner a voucher to use on the next flight we take with them! I want to know what my rights are here, I was not offered an equal replacement meal as we had to buy our own drink which would have been included in the inflight meal and it is only offered to me not my partner. And as stated above I will never use Thomas Cook again. Is there a specific body to complain to in regards to airlines other than ATOL or is it consumer direct as it was a service?Support is hope, hope is a brighter future, the future is looking happy.[/FONT]0 -
Hi, i contacted one of the companies regarding a quote for a solar panel system for my house. A representative came to my house and gave me a quote. I signed the quote, never realized it was actually a contract. I had another representative from a different company the next day who gave me a quote with 1000 quids less ! so, i decided to go with the second company. I then called the first company several times to cancel (during the 7 days cool off), but there was no answer ! so i left a message on their voice mail that i decided to cancel with them. I also sent a fax to confirm the cancellation. Yesterday, i was surprised that They are contacting me to do the installation. I replied i have cancelled. they denied they received any faxes or voice mail from me !!! and said u had to send a recorded delivery letter. The cool off period is now gone and they ask me to pay 50% penalty, which will be around 5000 !!!!
I told them that their representative who came to my house didn't explain to me what is my right to cancel and how to do it , furthermore, on the back of the sheet, where it tells about the penalty if you cancel after the cool off period, it needs a signature for : "i have read and understand the cancellation policy". the representative didn't tell me anything about that and i didn't sign it.
Advice please.i m actually in a nightmare .0 -
I can't help thinking this thread is a bit of a mess with so many problems at once, I'd suggest it was closed and any outstanding problems put into their own thread.0

they are quick questions (1 post) waiting for quick answers (1 post). Cuts down on the immense number of threads started asking, in effect, the same question.
Also quite a few people appear to post the once (when they have a problem) and we never 'see' them again...
we're not even certain they come back to check if the HAVE had a response...I mean - asking us to email them?Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Thuis would be a business contract right?
In which case sorry, I can't help as I don't know enough BUT check the T&Cs of the contract you signed up to especially with regard to fitting delays and cancellation.
Then post the relevant T&Cs here.
And someone might be able to help...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Write, or email again saying that their offer is not acceptable.
Thus-
(Insert in the bracket the information indicated)
Re Flight Number (insert flight number) (Date) (Mancherster to Lanzarote) (Booking ref)
As you are aware there was a problem with the above flight and passengers were transferred to other aircraft. As a result of this my partner and I did not receive the in-flight meals that we had pre-booked and paid for.
I have previously complained about this and have been offered a voucher for (amount). This is not an acceptable apology and I request a refund of (amount).
I look forward to hearing from you and receiving my refund, by cheque payable to (you obviously) at your earliest convenience.
Yours sincerely
This should have the desired effect and is less hassle than escalating your complaint;)

here (blue text is a link) is the law. Assume you've kept a copy of the fax.
Contact consumer direct for further advice and if they contact you again TELL them you've contacted consumer advice/trading standards;)
You are clearly already aware that you haven't been given your consumer rights anyway as you know you should have had a cooling-off period.
If the company is a member of a trade body you may wish to draw the attention of the trade body to the company's behaviour over the cooling off period. You could also contact your local trading standards dept, which should be on your town/county/city council's websiteDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
