Did you clean up the RAM?

If so, try this: Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start Search box.
In the search results list, right-click Command Prompt or Cmd, and then click Run as Administrator on the pop up contextual menu.
If you are prompted by User Account Control for permission, click Continue.
At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:

    powercfg.exe -h off

Type exit, and then press ENTER.

no, i couldn't get it out.(the bit i was trying to pull) :( (and im not 100% sure which bit it is, so didnt just wanna pull stuff.)

You are supposed to pull the white clips holding them in to the left and right. This will eject the RAM module.

Anyway, try the command prompt first.

The option to create Recovery discs should be accessible from within the e-Recovery interface. Probably from the Start Menu.

    Here is a rough guide

cant open the cmd from "run as administrator" get the same stupid error message about the dependency thing failing to start.

I'll try the recovery disc making now (if it will do it) but im sorta edging toward new computer now :(

The problem is likely to do with Vista, but I want to eliminate hardware and to create recovery discs.
Worst case scenario; one can run a clean install from a Vista SP2 disc.
