It hasn't. Yes, you can re-start it if you wish and it doesn't take long. Though check first to see if Windows Updates will work for you.
Windows 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1
Internet Explorer 7.0.6001.18000
That would show 2 and 9 respectively if updated. Strange that you have an infection so soon after a Factory Restore. You should really go straight to Windows Updates and nowhere else, until all of the Updates have been installed.
Keep a CD or USB drive with important utilities so that you don't have to surf the web to find them once connected.
So what did ChkDsk report. No damaged sectors?0 -
Right so if I got back to erecovery. Unplug the net. Get comodo, avira etc from somewhere else on disc and instal them after updating windowd then we might be somewhere?0

Try Windows Updates now.0 -
Yeah nothing. Just reset the computer after scanning for a while. Didn't shut down properly tho. Got that blue screen with something about internal power failure0

Does the ACER give you the possibility to burn optical disc images of the Recovery Partition?
If so, you should do that. Then perhaps we can try a new OS.0 -
On the erecovery? No. If its somewhere else then tell and ill look0

this is the blue screen error I keep getting. Nothing to do with the HD huh??
nevermind, cant install windows updates, when searching for updates it says it cant find them or gets some error or another (numbers) not always the same.
*sigh*
