hmm clippy has been a bad girl this month and wasted lots of money :(

i have just paid dad £350 but have paid £850 off my two cc's!!!!:mad: now some of this cancels itself out eg £80 of theatre tickets was paid for with £80 from our kitty fund, £31 MS was paid for with the reimb but it is still a lot! i got £250 extra in wages this month which i used £200 to pay for berlin. just need spends now.

still owe £65 on tesco cc but halifax is clear.

need to try and decide what to do with regards to food and petrol. as i planned to buy on tesco cc to get points i transferred the £180 petrol and food budget to debt account. that has been spent paying off cc so anymore food and petrol i buy will go on next months statement so effectively i am now month behind. think what i will do is leave the food and petrol budget in my main bank account and buy on tesco card to get points. i will then make a payment for the amount spent each time i buy food and petrol on the cc. that way i will always pay for it as its spent out of the correct months money.

also, i think the thing that sets me back is weekends away as lots of my friends dont live near. whilst i can pay for the weekend with weekly spends, it is usually the travel that i cant cope with, particularly because it often needs paying way before the weekend. as i have had a small payrise, once i have located a basic payslip (eg without OT) i can see how much i get, revise budget and will set up a s/o to my savings account for say £40 month and use that to pay for travel.

yes i know i could not go on weekends away but then i cant see my friends and as i am fortunate enough to have a manageable level of debt and can overpay i still want to go away. :)

right, need to type up audit results x 2 (urgh), get ready to do a mystery shop then do some work. then got two audits tonight as well!

on a money making note, £399 earnt in ms this month so an extra £89 over budget :T:j

  • £700 paid to dad today :) on track for clearing it next month :D

tbh finances are a bit of a muddle atm as £100's on cc! but £100's in bank also!

a lot of this is xmas presents as i buy from me, bro and sis (they give me their share of the cost) so i have their cash in the bank atm but lots of presents bought. also just shelled out about £130 on petrol and food for a work course which i will get back next month. also stuff like petrol and food that i bought on cc, money transfered to debt account but not paid off yet.

i roughly calculated yest that i could pay dad £500 and clear the cc this month (except the £130 which can go next month). however its very hard to tell due to presents bought, money getting for presents, stuff pending on cc that i have bought etc...

so as dad owes me some money for presents i bought for him (dont have the shops by him) and he is giving me £100 for xmas to buy some boots i have paid him £515 but cleared £700 of my debt. but of course this means i technically have the remainder in my account.

not sure how much is on the cc as i bought loads of presents yest! but its at least £700 i would say. currently have about £40 in bank but £340 rent coming on monday, i have £110 to pay in in coins when i get a chance and over £100 ms money still to come.

on monday plan is to put £200 aside for berlin and leave the rest in the debt account. when it reaches £600 i will pay that to dad which will clear that debt :T:money::D:A however i will be in berlin when that reaches £600 probably so wont be able to clear it till i get back.

will then pay all remaining moneys to cc. by end of jan i will have cleared cc and paid tax bill and hopefully paid 1st installment to mum (although not likely to be much!) will have a better idea when i am back from berlin.

need to rein in spending this month! have been on a few dates with a guy i met online and dates are expensive! had to 'borrow' £10 from next weeks spends to cover last night.

next weeks spends will be £30 and £10 of that will be used to pay for my boots being reheeled (had to leave them overnight and cant collect till then). hopefully can save the remaining money towards london.

off to london 3-4 dec with friends. we have paid for hotel and theatre and we are doing afternoon tea at the berkeley hotel which is about £120 between us i think. we have £100 in our kitty so probably need about £10 more each to cover it and tip. then will need few quid for other meals (will be cheap) travel and drinks. hoping £80 will do it so if i save £30 next week will only need to use £20 out of debt account!

week after its xmas party, £17 meal and then will need drinks and probably be a late one. will probably need more cash for that as well.

so aim is not unnecesary spending on stuff like work lunches and choc and sweets from shop!:o
