money wise not a lot going on. still should be on track to pay cc off end of jan. need some new boots so will buy in sale as seen a few prs for £60 in sale. should be able top get these as well as pay off cc. will pay cc off as and when money arrives rather than lump sum so can watch it going down:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0

eek spent £58 in tesco yest  hopefully can survive on £20 for next 2.5 weeks as only need milk and fruit. was a big shop including stuff wont need to buy for a few months so not end of world if go over as can recoup in next month.
just back from shops and naughty clippy bought some nice shoes in dune for £22however i managed to get my new boots in clarks for £36 (down from £90) so still within the £60 budget
bad news is my gas and electric is going up £38 a month :eek: they didnt up it after discovering day and night meter was wrong way round so since then i have paid £90 in dd and spent £196! so only £7 in credit. i think £83 is too much for my useage to pay every month for a year but it is probably reasonable for the next few months as only £7 in credit now
so clippy is not happynow means that i will have to transfer about £40 from MS/rent into bill account each month as salary wont quite cover it anymore
also got round to ringing sky to cancel the evening and weekend call package which i thought was £5 month to find out that this package is free and dont pay for it! not sure why i thought i did!

so rejigged budget and looks like will need to transfer £20 month to bills account to cover the increased energy bill
dont see how i will be debt free by june as cant pay £800 per month! (hopefully still on track for at least £50 to mum this month)
realistically i think it will be september now
this is on the basis of paying £650 in feb, march and april (will still be MS/receiving MS money) and then £450 in May, june, july, aug (£340 rent plus £110 payrise) and then final £165 in sept.
or perhaps i will continue to do covert MS until i am debt free as it will bring the date forward and as i am starting to dislike MS it should motivate me not to spend unnecessarily as means i will need to do more shops! covert wise i should do at least £100 minimum per month (possibly £150) so that would then bring debt free date back to aug with aug payment just £315. will see how it goes i think!
had a productive day yest and cleaned most of house. plan for today is-
finish 1.5 surveys
clean en suite
clean kitchen
spend at least 3 hrs doing some portfolio work (more if can motivate self as would like 2 bits of work completed)
gym and swim
do nails
bath and hair wash:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
grrr just remembered i will need to pay about £500 tax bill for this tax years MS. therefore think i need to earn the tax bill money to put to one side (or just fill it in and pay it early so its done and i dont spend it
)
seems as i am now going to have to continue past april i will do the same with any tax due on what i earn after april but will need to put that money away until i can submit the return
that is very depressing that i cant 'retire' in april:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
Hi Clippy
You are dong really well, so don't be to hard on yourself
Do you have the "free" council tax months in Feb/March that you could use?Mortgage Aug 12 £165K, Aug 19 £0
ISA challenge start 2019 £3000/£1500 (50%)0 -
thanks radish, it just seems a bit never ending at the moment!
unfortunately i split my council tax across 12 months to make budgeting easier so no 'free' money for me!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
hmmm not much to report at all! unfortunately dont think i will have any payments now until 20th
but they will be decent ones as follows- £340 rent, £148 regular ms (or £178 as i do a weekly job so sometimes i have 5 weeks in pay, cant remember how they work it out) and also a cheque for £155 for some online ms
so that will clear cc
few other stragglers likely to come for jobs done this weekend and job in dec which should be arounf £80
have done well with nsd's but have not been counting them. had £25 left over last week and £29.65 this weektbh i only spent £3.70 this week, the other few £s were on food where didnt want to use card as only for small amounts. decided to put all notes and £1 coins in the weekends fund and all change in pigs towards xmas. so got £53 in there but will be paying £20 of that into bank so its at £33 now.
next week will be a bit spendy as starting a new dance class on mon which is £5 per week and as this ids the 4th week, budget got to stretch a few extra days so next weeks £5 will also cone out of this budget. got no plans so would like a big save.
went to travel agents yest to get some holiday brochures for next big trip. if i go new zealand it will prob be in feb whereas if i go south america will prob be a bit later in the year. if i do new zealand will need to book around may and i wont be debt free then! will need to stick on cc and pay off after debt free! should be able to save £3000 between dfd and going, will have about £300 of food, petrol and ws that i can use whilst away so will only owe a small bit when i get back. if i go to south america i should have saved in full before i go. that will be nice.
have decided to just keep on doing ms but just do it when its convenient. that pay after im debt free i can save about £500 per month for holidays
feeling very motivated to get rid now so must stay focused!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
also i have lost 3lb this week :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0

That's what happens when you don't go to Tesco for sweeties every night :jA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

so another week with not much to report! still not received any ms payments so no more cleared off cc
got £168 coming on about wed and £340 on friday. should also get a cheque towards end of week for about £138.50 (another £28 quid of surveys not vetted yet so couldnt add them on, if they are passed before wed i can submit them as well). so all that will be winging its way to cc. not sure if i calculated wrong but looks like there wont be any left over at end of jan to pay mum but both cc's should be cleared (one just has about £35 on which i used on amazon and ebay as the card details were saved and couldnt be bothered to add new card!)
good news is mum is happy to receive PADs (or payment every few days as it comes in). think she is quite excited about the suprise of checking everyday to see if i have given her anything! thats good as it means my total can be updated as i go along and can see it coming down
so plans for today are to return the pr of shoes i bought 2 weeks ago as after two wears the tips have fallen off the heelsthink i will go to timpsons to see if they are fixable and then go to shop and try and get a new pr, if they dont have any get them to pasy for new heels or get a refund. i would rather not have a refund as they are comfy and good for work
whilst in town i will also go to boots and see if i can get a free mascara and do the check ins on quidco app to get a £ or so. aim to spend no cash in town!
then need to return something bought for a ms for a refund and buy a washer for the kitchen tap. need to try and work out how to fit this as it broke the other day and now water squirts out when i use ot. currently got an elastic band around but its still leaking
on weight loss front still the samehave been vv good this week so that is annoying
official weekly weigh in tomorrow am so will report back.
will also go to the gym and swim this evening, start some travel surveys i have got and do a bit of cleaning. then sofa and love film tonight!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0
