    Hi Guys Dad,

    In response to your q's:

    1. No, no mismatching. All emails came from her.
    2. No, no details have changed at all.
    3. Yes, all bills were sent within 30 days (and can be proved by the email headers)
    4. They haven't given any reason.
    5. No contact from the online rep yet, I assume he is getting involved at the CS end?

Unfortunately, I don't think you can send him a pm - MSE restriction. However, keep sending emails to him at his email address and keep this forum informed if any action is forthcoming and, if so, what.

Don't let them off the hook.

    It's going nowhere with mobiles.co.uk

It seems every reply I get comes from a different person asking for different things and coming back with a different answer.

    Hi Daddy,
Not getting much time at mo due to work, it's usual stuff I'm afraid they seem to pass things from one to another and bounce it round till you get fed up ....it's rare for anyone to take the bull by the horns with this company.

I would consider sending a LBA asap so that you can act on it after the Easter Break .....I would imagine the break is going to cause delays in replies too :rotfl:

What version outlook express by the way ..do you know ???

    Back later on ;)

Was it certainly Outlook Express, not Outlook?
Don't know about Express, but my Outlook keeps all deleted mails in the 'Deleted' folder since I installed it one year ago.

Yeah it does but if you get as many emails as I do it's best to empty it every so often to clear up space and also to make sure any iffy ones have gone off the system ;)
I would imagine as the OP works in IT he probably empties his folder too ......having said that it's still poss to restore deleted emails esp. in outlook versions.

In this case though as the OP already has an email saying they had rec'd the emails it doesn't realy matter .....even though another email from them contradicts this it does not matter as they've already shown they don't have a clue what they're doing ;)

    Hi all,
I use Windows Live Mail which is the windows 7 version of outlook express. We bought a new PC a year and a half ago and I transferred all emails over, apart from Deleted items! However, I have a full backup on DVD in my safe from that time, so if need be I can restore the backup complete with deleted emails, and therefore the auto replies. Silk, you're right, I do clear my deleted items all the time! However luckily my wife doesn't! She's got thousands in there!

Hi Silk, no I've heard nothing from mobiles.co.uk apart from their basic 'we're not paying' email.
I'll be in contact with Watchdog on Tuesday, I love seeing company bashing on their program. I've got plenty of emails from mobiles.co.uk showing their ineptitude!

Waste of time. Watchdog is only interested in its own sensationalised stories and has received hundreds of complaints about cpw and other dealers with cashback without doing anything much. Besides, your case isn't exactly clear cut and watertight. Ultimately it's sue or leave I'm afraid.
  • Have to say in the last year I've had not one problem in claiming and recieving my cashback. I lodged my last claim today and recieved the confirmation email all I need to do now is to wait for my Approved email.

The simple secret, read the small print and instructions then provide all of the information they request correctly, accurately and on time.

My second claim was rejected because I didn't provide the correct bill page. I resubmitted with the correct bill page and got my cheque 8 days later.

Moral of the story - if you are expecting someone to do something for you make it as easy as possible for them to do it - particularly when following some paperwork system where anything out of the ordinary will trip up the process.

Hope you get yours sorted out.
