The problem I have with your posts is this:
You are obviously a rational and logical person, yet what you are suggesting people do (believe what they get told - wait and do nothing because it will all work out fine in the end) is neither rational nor logical.
So I don't think you are what you pretend to be. I don't believe for a moment that you are an investor, and I don't believe that your "story" is genuine.0 -

Please would you like to explain how it would be possible for the Company directors (or anyone else for matter) to run off with 8,500,000m2 of land in their back-pockets? This land has been formally assessed and valued by independent industry experts (I have seen the reports myself).
The investors have peace of mind because they hold a charge over this asset in much the same way a bank/building society here in the UK places a legal charge over a property that is mortgaged.
Sticking to facts, do you know what value of loans is secured against this property, and what its value might be?
Or how easy it would be for investors to force the sale of the land over which security has been given?
In whose favour has the first charge been given, the company that is lending to the developer or the investors lending to the company? Is it given on the 200 acres under development or on the whole 850 hectares? Does each investor hold a charge over a specific piece of land, or jointly with the others over the whole parcel, or not at all?
I can't divine any of this from the "Bodega Offer" document (dated 2010) - if the principals are still trying to raise money then they don't seem to be doing so publicly.

The assets on which the debt is secured are at best illiquid and at worst worth nowhere near the amounts owed. It seems possible that the security is of very little use to investors.
No hindsight required. I sincerely hope the investors get out of it, but it would be keeping me awake."Things are never so bad they can't be made worse" - Humphrey Bogart0 -
The guy isn't an investor at all he is glossing a story to protect him and other companies involved. Anyone who reads his lines must be stupid. I have a lot of information on this that is not published here and will share with the rest of the investors soon. My lawyer has a lot of points which have been given to SFO too. Marbella is a small place but full of corruption. The money may not be returned but justice will prevail.
The fact is M and C haven't returned money taken within an agreed timeframe. When you don't pay your credit card bill the hounds start calling. If you don't pay your investors the wild wolfs should bark.0 -
red buzzard and truth be told have both raised a valid point about the land value. I know the land value and its already mortgaged and the amount of the mortgage down to the last penny. I even know who holds the mortgage on the land. I also have a rough figure of investments made from people who have contacted me. The investors do not have first call on it. The land exists but it valued at agricultural value. If people want to mail on the address given earlier I will let them have the info but I will not post it on an open forum.0

You see, when life changing amounts of money are at stake, people can be driven to do quite horrid things, like luring in other unsuspecting people in the hope that perhaps the additional capital might help turn things around, or, like a Ponzi scheme, the capital paid in by new investors might allow them to get their money back out.
Before it was hijacked, this thread served as a sort of victim's support group and was not very prominent or active. Then along came a new poster, perhaps with a sense of irony when selecting their username, who simply flooded the thread with spurious platitudes and ridiculous similes, such as likening the situation here to the development of a supersonic airliner :rotfl:.
So, a third possibility is that the true objective here is just to disrupt discussion between those victims who were congregating here and attempting to take legal action.0 -
I'm not so sure. Certainly, it's possible that 'truth be told' is an unauthorised company representative sent here to talk up the company in breach of site rules, but alternatively they might just be someone who has handed over money, perhaps a considerable sum, and is in fact just as much a victim as the others who have posted their horror stories to this thread.
