Sooner Royal Mail goes bust the better

Like any large company mistakes get made, things get overlooked, it's not like Royal Mail are just dealing with your parcel.
Sure you've had bad service, but it doesn't mean that the service is always that bad and can you seriously say the Royal Mail always let you down.
It's also quite ridiculous to say UPS, DHL etc, would have delivered your parcel. A google search suggests they don't always.0 -

That perhaps I was polite and factual, not sarcastic and angry with my request and the postmaster went out of his way to help me ?No doubt you think the police do too. And anyone else you have never actually had any need to have any real contact with.
I dealt with the police following an incident with knife crime (I was a witness) - Personally I found them absolutely fantastic. End result - a six month jail sentence for the offender.“That old law about 'an eye for an eye' leaves everybody blind. The time is always right to do the right thing.”0 -

Done that too. Although only once. Maybe if I do it twice something will happen.0 -
I have these numbers from an old complaint letter to royal mail (which took 3 months to be replied to), and if i remember rightly it was really hard to find an option that put you through to someone, but might be some help to you

as the person receiving your email will be,Im confused
Thanks.your item is at a Post Office and you request its sent to a Post Office?
you got a card from Royal Mail and called the 'Postmaster' at the Post office?
No. I don't think my message says that. If you do, then I have nothing to say about it.
My message says it should be delivered to my house as I paid for it to be. It then says the postman delivered it to the post office because he's a tw&t. Then it says I phoned the post office and asked for it to be redlievered to my house (because arranging redelivery via royal mail does not work), and the man there described himself as the 'postmaster', and he basically laughed at me when I asked him to arrange for it to be redelivered. If you think my message says anything else then perhaps you'd be kind enough to point out where, for example, I ask for it to be delivered to a post office.
Hey, if you work(ed) for the post office, and you read it that way, maybe that explains why they are unable to redeliver?
Maybe some training of their customer service people is in order.0 -
I thought the last postmaster we had was John Stonehouse?0

You get:
Then you never hear from them again.
Been there, done that. Twice.

"Once we have the full details of your complaint our promise is that we will normally take no more than 30 calendar days to respond fully to your issue"
have you allowed 30 calendar days for them respond ?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
if you want premium 99%+ performance then pay for it
And we have a winner! This is perhaps the most annoying comment yet.
The fundamental service provided by royal mail is to take a letter from A to B. Not to take a letter from A to B then decide to leave it at C if we can't be ar%$d to redeliver it. By the way, I did pay for the 'premium service' (whatever that is).if you want a cheap one size fits all service that works most of the time, then accept it
I say again, if you work(ed) for the post office, I think I can see the problem. Nice attitude you have there.0 -

I agree with you. My problem isn't that they f'd up. It's that they admit that the parcel is at the post office and they refuse to redeliver it. They haven't lost it. They haven't delivered it to the wrong address. These are all things that just happen. It's the laugh at me when I ask for it to be redelivered, coupled with the 'yes we will redeliver it on such and such a day' followed by not redelivering it that I have a problem with. And the fact that it is impossible to make a complaint. It's also quite ridiculous to say UPS, DHL etc, would have delivered your parcel. A google search suggests they don't always.
Well, according to earlier posts in this thread, google results mean nowt. That, coupled with the fact that UPS and DHL have never been either rude or incompetent with me, means that they have a perfect service. It's true! Read the earlier posts if you don't believe me.0 -
