Just been into local Tesco and had a £6 voucher (bought Thorntons egg for £6 and nothing else). Supervisor got real shirty.
"I'm sick of these. They're going to stop these soon, people fleecing Tesco." etc etc

No issue taking them before but seems they have started looking at the receipt in more detail and aren't happy when voucher is close to (or more than!) the original spend.

Any ideas for comebacks - I'm not a conforntational type so just said "Bought it last week, next day seen them half price in Asda. SO of course I was going to cash in. What's the problem?"
She wasn't happy, said she was 'onto people doing this'

sorry to hear of your experience
pls could you warn us which store (sorry if you already have not caught up yet)

Tesco stock control probably thought. Sold 250,000 last week, lets get another 250,000 in :rotfl:

You may laugh but as their stock system is computerised it does actually work like that.

Just back from Tesco and had a funny moment in the booze aisle. I was standing looking for the 70cl Whyte and MacKay whisky and a middle aged couple were standing just next to me.

I reached out for the correct bottle and noticed that the 1 litre bottle was the same price. Quickly double checked my shopping list and picked up the 70cl bottle.

The man beside me said 'oh you get a much better deal with the 1 litre bottle, looks it's the same price as the other one".

I mumbled something about Tesco Price Check and the net cost being £6ish and quickly scurried off with my 70cl bottle.

They must have been wondering if I was a bit doolally:rotfl:

hello all just tried my first dtd shop today and think i have slightly messed up....2 small kids make me not think properly! i was doing my normal shop but then separately put through 2 50+ sunmilks and then again separately put through 2 oralb power brushes...just realised now i should have put through the toothbrushes through separately shouldn't i?

i'll probably just get the £20 back, if i had put them through separately i would have got £32! silly silly silly!

if you did a cash shop you could always get a refund and start again?

Does the £100 limit apply to calendar month, or within any 30 day period?

Not long got back from tesco, went to a young lad who obviously wasn't bothered, no problems spending the voucher but he must have ripped the receipt off too soon because it's torn and the all-important numbers are missing :( Think I would be less upset if I'd lost £20 cash!

Now I'm down to 2 vouchers both around the £10 mark due to me picking up the wrong things in the past :(

not cash unfortunately...however i suppose it means i haven't lost anything! needed the cream and kids will love toothbrushes...although i'll not be opening them yet in case there are any problems...got one princess and one winnie the pooh. Loads of wall-e ones left so i suppose i could go back and get a few back up ones!

at least this is hopefully me catching the bug!:T
