Yes previous receipt did show that I had bought 2 bottles of wolf blass and some deodrant. i stood my ground saying that Tesco terms and conditions on my coupon, do no say anything like that, but felt that I couldn't say too much in case of any changes of today in T's & C's!!! I said that I wasn't at all happy and why are they not stating this on any of their huge advertisement campaigns and I would be taking it further with their head office. Anyone know where I need to complain to please via email.
will be interesting to see if we get any other reports of this.
to see if it really is "memo from head office"
this has been reported before but it seems that it just depends on who you incounter.
the t&c does state they can refuse it.0 -

Either email the CEO (email at start of thread I believe) or call HO.
In future, have HOs number with you and call them if they refuse, then usually HO will put them back in their place.
Gosh, its amazing how many wannabie ceo/directors tesco has with all the rules they make up!0 -

I had an email back from Mr T yesterday saying....
It would be very unusual for our staff to refuse your voucher, simply because it was not perforated. However, they are entitled to refuse any voucher they feel is being used against the spirit of the scheme. On this point, I have discussed your experience with the store's Customer Service Manager and she has assured me she will re-brief her staff to make sure there is no such ambiguity going forward.
Although if different purchases are being made each time, then I think it would be rather difficult to prove you were going against the spirit of the secheme. I always mix my shopping up with each voucher.

Tesco really have got to be very careful. If they make it too difficult for people to spend their vouchers, that goes directly against what their advertising says and they could be in trouble with the ASA ...again!0 -
eh what are you banging on about?
Luckily they DTDed on oven cleaner, lets hope toilet cleaner is on DTD.
Unless of course they prioritise cleaning the toilet over cleaning the oven.0 -
if tesco want to stop all this .. all they have to do is make sure their prices are equal to or less than asda's.
its no good them moaning about the spirit of the thing or if you are using a voucher to generate another. its their promotion, their terms and conditions, to prove they are cheaper. if they query your voucher tell them to save themselves the energy, and go and pricecheck!:rotfl:
Oh just one other thing whilst i'm ranting....
On their american website.. Fresh and easy.... http://www.freshandeasy.com/ it says we don't waste time with gimmicks like loyalty cards and coupons, they just put prices up! :mad:0 -
For anyone who's vouchers come back as 'processing' - which browser are you using?
I found that by using IE, using the back arrow and re-submitting it worked after 2 or 3 attempts whereas on Firefox it didn't seem to.
Great tip - after waiting all day this worked a treat on IEThanks

Can I ask a really daft (potentially) question please?: Should I use my clubcard when I'm buying items that will generate a DTD voucher or not? Does it make any difference? I certainly won't go over the £100 a month limit, so it'll only be one email address that I'll be using anyway. Also, this £100 a month thing: Is that per calendar month or per month from when you claim your first DTD voucher?
TIA for any help you may be able to give, and sorry for being so dense.0 -
