That's your opinion, and it may be correct. But it has become very apparent that everyone has a different definition of right and wrong, a different line in the sand. And it causes so many nasty arguments every single time.
There have been other very good threads on here that have been locked due to bickering and squabbling - let's not have this become another of them.
I appreciate your comments, but blatantly breaking the terms and conditions is not a line in the sand as you put it.0 -

As for changing prices in individual stores,,, this is also possible but has to go through HO and is slightly more time consuming.
To be honest with you, the amount of stuff on the DTD list is a minute percentage of what Tescos sell and wouldn't be half of what is sent down from HO in a normal Sunday night price change.
As to why they don't do it...you tell me... because I wouldn't pay £10 for maggie toothbrush but obviously lots do.
I agree, it would be easy for them to do...................unfortunately, eventually I suspect they will0 -
Who do Governments and large Corporates alike, approach to strengthen their online security systems and plug holes? Yes, hackers.
Who do the police approach to assist with the prevention of certain types of crime? Particularly burglaries. Yes, burglars.
These are practices employed every day, all over the world, it's called common sense. You want to know how to stop people doing something, you ask the people who do it, how they do it and go from there.
Do you think Tesco became the huge corporate animal it is, by not having any common sense? If they are planning on this being a long term promotion, the spreadsheet produced here, is exactly the sort of thing that they would print off and use in internal meetings, as an example of how sophisticated the methods are, that people have developed to get free stuff from them. They will then pass the info to people responsible for plugging those opportunities, to do something about it.
Theres a far far easier way. Just adjust their prices to bring them broadly inline with asda. Job done.0 -
Question re. this thread (to moderators I guess)
Why is everything all in 1 mass of 100s of pages? Surely logic would be to break down DTD into sub forums such as 'new items' 'experiences' 'news' yadda yadda yadaa, just think the thread is a bit of a mess all in one place0 -
Would someone please be so kind as to specify what the barcodes are on these two products....
AMBRE SOLAIRE MOISTURISING MILK F10/F20 200ML £9.99
AMBRE SOLAIRE MOISTURISING SPRAY F15/20/30 200ML £9.99
There is a huge wall of Ambre Solaire stuff in my local Tesco with many different bottles at 9.99 - I'd hate to pick up the wrong one.0 -

remember the FLUMPS they soon changed that, so if they wanted to match asda they could.0 -
I'm neither agreeing, or disagreeing with what you've written............I just want to know when the original post was made, that you've just replied to, as I don't remember reading it in the last few pages.
If it wasn't recent, why have you dredged it up? That would make your post an obvious and unwelcome effort to start trouble
If it was posted in the last few pages and I missed it, accept my warmest apologies.
Which is it?
It was reply number 2766 on page 139
I'm not looking to cause trouble, and people shouldn't worry about using the f**** word if they are playing by the rules. I just think it's important that people understand what they are doing, and they can then make the decision as to how comfortable they are with doing it, and how they should continue.
For the person who has been banned for 3 months, it was on a previous thread, and i forget the name and don't have the details, it was something like dtdtrader or dtdsomethingorotherEssentially they gave in a different email address when asked to the one that was on the ticket, and it is my guess that that email already showed up their full allocation of dtd vouchers.
Perhaps i'm just bringing this up because of my own bad experience, where i was accused of printing money and fraudulent behavior and that the police were being called as I was being investigated. Of course, this was all BS, and the supervisor/manager was just suspicious of the scheme and didn't know what they were talking about (i persevered, and got an apology and my shopping with the voucher in the end).
If did get me thinking however, if for whatever reason i had been using multiple email addresses to do multiple shops, how i could defend myself if i was caught out (What if they had some way of tracking the vouchers issued to a person/household i wasn't aware of) And of course, the obvious answer is, i couldn't!
it was enough to convince me that really it's not worth the risk, and i'll be playing by the rules from now on (as much as it pains me when i see others cashing in £100 worth of vouchers per day, every day!!).0 -
sorry sorry sorry sorry i wont
it just popped into my head as the guy gave it back to me.... On another note i know some people have said you ant use the vouchers at self service if over £10 but but the guy who helped me put the£20 through fine
Sorry again...
You can use them over £9.99 with the help of the SA0 -

I have commented and made my disapproval well known, of certain habits, adopted by certain individuals. However, it seems impossible to have a sensible debate on any of the more sensitive topics and they inevitably end up in 3 pages of abuse.
Much as it pains me, I have simply decided not to bother making any personal observations at all and just stick to DTD'ing and DTD'ing only.
I imagine that the brow beating I have endured from my missus over the years, has lent me a tendency towards an easy life and avoiding potential trouble at all costs....lol0 -
