    I don't believe it.

Prices are not determined by each store, a store can't just change the prices willy nilly. So I doubt they would have a copy of the SS for the purpose of changing prices.

I suspect that the idea, rather than to change prices, would be to remove the more costly DTD items from shelves/make it more difficult to buy them? I already find that most of the "better" meat DTD items are never in stock at any of my local Tesco's, but they have been replaced by items that don't DTD.

However, the reality of the situation, is that Tesco's would never be able to communicate all the changes to stores, on a daily basis. They would have to employ as many staff again, just to do the leg work, to keep up with us DTD'ers, which is never going to happen.

I don't see any reason why they wouldn't use it as a guide every now and then, to plug the really gaping holes on expensive items tho.

There has already been at least 1 person banned from tesco for 3 months due to being caught out.

How do you know that? Just being curious, not confrontational! lol

I know we shouldn't do this, but is it possible to use a reciept twice if the staff member gives it back without scribbling on it?
    Thanks everyone

Please don't start on this again.... it really spoilt the thread the other day....

But it's been a happy place again since.:T:j:T:j:T

Lets all continue the Happy DTDing. :D

It doesn't surprise me one bit and is the most logical thing to do. You're a business that's losing money on an offer and you want to plug as many holes as possible........where do you start? You look to those that are exploiting it and how they do it!!!

The same spreadsheet that acts as our enlightenment, is also the biggest weapon for Mr T...........that should not come as a shock to anybody.

    Sorry but thats complete pap!!!

This is one of the biggest multi national companies there is in retailing and you think theres a guy running around a dingy office somewhere like a headless chicken trying to 'plug holes' and using this sites spreadsheet?

    Its hysterical!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

surely he'd just go to ASDA for 3 months picking up Pot Noodles for 50p each! granted they're not as cheap as DTD but my point is a 3 month ban from Tesco is hardly gonna scare anyone into not committing this offence

Justify it how you like, what you, and others are doing is still fraud - "A deception deliberately practiced in order to secure unfair or unlawful gain"

There is a clear fair use policy, and you are taking advantage of a loophole, be under no illusions about that. For those who justify that Tesco are big company or are experiencing big profits (from their asia rather than UK market i may add) are missing the point.

There has already been at least 1 person banned from tesco for 3 months due to being caught out.

People get nervous because they know they are abusing the fair use policy and don't want to be 'found out'. Others are nervous because of bad experiences (such as i have had) where poorly staff training leads to suspicion over the vouchers.

As long as everyone understands the fair use policy, and abides by it they have nothing to worry about. If you do take advantage, just be prepared for any consequences should tesco decide to do anything about it.

I'm neither agreeing, or disagreeing with what you've written............I just want to know when the original post was made, that you've just replied to, as I don't remember reading it in the last few pages.

If it wasn't recent, why have you dredged it up? That would make your post an obvious and unwelcome effort to start trouble

If it was posted in the last few pages and I missed it, accept my warmest apologies.

    Which is it?

hi i havt said they were changing prices or anything like that i have just wrote what they said regards kev

    Nah still don't believe it.

Why on earth would a store have a copy of the SS to go through?

    For what purpose?

To see what they can get for themselves on DTD :rotfl:

And I am not being funny but you are a newbie and I will take what you say with a very large pinch of salt.....no offence. ;)
