Please ignore the trolls - don't quote their post otherwise this thread will be spoiled. Let's stick with DTDing...0

I trained another member staff 2day, he never seen a dtd before, he was a quick learner though, scanning it with a joyful smile 2SIMPLES!0

GUYS can we PLEASE refrain from throwing the F**** word around, it only causes arguments.
Nope. When people like mcdonag clearly break the terms, they will be told so on here.....long may it continue too! This DTD deal is a gifthorse of epic proportions but as usual a few greedy, lazy fools will spoil things for everyone.0 -

I know we shouldn't do this, but is it possible to use a reciept twice if the staff member gives it back without scribbling on it?
Thanks everyone
NO - ITS NOT RIGHT AND YOU SHOULDN'T DO IT. (sorry for shouting)
Cannot believe you are even considering it, if you want to keep dtding going.

I suspect that the idea, rather than to change prices, would be to remove the more costly DTD items from shelves/make it more difficult to buy them? I already find that most of the "better" meat DTD items are never in stock at any of my local Tesco's, but they have been replaced by items that don't DTD.
However, the reality of the situation, is that Tesco's would never be able to communicate all the changes to stores, on a daily basis. They would have to employ as many staff again, just to do the leg work, to keep up with us DTD'ers, which is never going to happen.
I don't see any reason why they wouldn't use it as a guide every now and then, to plug the really gaping holes on expensive items tho.
Mr T could easily do price changes on the top 20 DTDing items if they wish... it is done at the push of a button and shelf edge tickets are printed in store and the admin staff change the tickets overnight or first thing in the morning. Would take a matter of minutes.
As for changing prices in individual stores,,, this is also possible but has to go through HO and is slightly more time consuming.
To be honest with you, the amount of stuff on the DTD list is a minute percentage of what Tescos sell and wouldn't be half of what is sent down from HO in a normal Sunday night price change.
As to why they don't do it...you tell me... because I wouldn't pay £10 for maggie toothbrush but obviously lots do.0 -

That's your opinion, and it may be correct. But it has become very apparent that everyone has a different definition of right and wrong, a different line in the sand. And it causes so many nasty arguments every single time.
There have been other very good threads on here that have been locked due to bickering and squabbling - let's not have this become another of them.0 -

This is one of the biggest multi national companies there is in retailing and you think theres a guy running around a dingy office somewhere like a headless chicken trying to 'plug holes' and using this sites spreadsheet?
Its hysterical!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Who do Governments and large Corporates alike, approach to strengthen their online security systems and plug holes? Yes, hackers.
Who do the police approach to assist with the prevention of certain types of crime? Particularly burglaries. Yes, burglars.
These are practices employed every day, all over the world, it's called common sense. You want to know how to stop people doing something, you ask the people who do it, how they do it and go from there.
Do you think Tesco became the huge corporate animal it is, by not having any common sense? If they are planning on this being a long term promotion, the spreadsheet produced here, is exactly the sort of thing that they would print off and use in internal meetings, as an example of how sophisticated the methods are, that people have developed to get free stuff from them. They will then pass the info to people responsible for plugging those opportunities, to do something about it.0 -
