Dusty I didnt get into town today I'm going in Monday know so will have a look in debenhams ad coast for the dress.

Another sleepless night here but instead of being due to insomnia it was due to dogbot constantly licking his paws and thi morning he was unable to go with OH on his run as both back legs were lame  So we spent a fair bit of the day waiting at the out of hours vets for him to be see.

He now has funky purple bandages on as skin has come off the pads on his back paws :( The vet said its a come injury and he'll be ok in a couple of days but the poor love keeps trying to kick like a mule to get them off.

    Evening all

We are home, had a great time and a really good run home, weather has been good all week and we have been to see lots of things/places. We were stopping just outside Durham.

The contents of the caravan have exploded out into the house and the WM has been on once already.

I wish to report that there were no bits left over last time I helped AnWsmum!!! hope they have a nice hols.

Dinner done and not a lot else.

Lol that is true but in my defence the spare poles are for the canopy bit (which we didn't put up) and the annexe. It stayed up all week :D

Not had a chance to catch up on the thread at all and if I start now I shan't stop!

    Hope all are well.

Have spoken to toots this evening, not sure if she has been able to post. She is ok, had a good day if somewhat hampered by the rain.

    :hello:Hi ladies!

Busy today - I managed to get to the allotment first thing, and planted the salad potatoes - by 9.30, it was already hot enough to make it a struggle. Watered my very thirsty new plantings... hope they're going to make it.

I've shopped, done loads of washing, tidied - and treated myself to an hour wandering around my favourite garden centre - only came out with six small plants - one herb, and the rest are all for summer containers, so nothing too mad. The greenhouse was so hot, I very nearly passed out!

Barbecue for dinner, just about warm enough outside, but the mozzies found me.:(

    - was thinking of your party, and hoping that you had a great time. Lovely to have photos with your Nan.

    hex
    - is your wisteria out now? There's one on my walk into town, that is just stunning at the moment.

    dusty
    - have a virtual hug, whether you usually do them or not.

Need help please -washing question, DS2 managed to get barbecue grease spattered on his new and extremely expensive white shorts. I've washed them once, with very little result. I've also soaked them for a few hours in diluted bleach (following instructions on the bleach), then washed again - slightly better, but still clearly visible spots. Now what??

  • Well, I haven't done much today, but I have started on my list :T
I have done 2 lots of washing/drying. We went off in search of a patio set, but I think everyone else has beat us to it!! We have decided (I think!) on the shed/summerhouse that we want to order -just need to find the pennies now!! That will give us a lot more storage space :) Took the dog for a good walk/swim in the sea.

We ordered a pizza tonight (less washing up :j) and played on the Wii with the fam :T after watching Dr Who.
Tomorrow, my first job is to sort out the ants in my living room, as i got a mouthful of them with my lemonade

  • Evening all

My headache has cleared so I've been in the kitchen baking. I've made Nigella's Chocolate Nest Egg Cake for tomorrow. I didnt realise how many eggs I would need, as I'm making Simnel Muffins first thing in the morning and I was short of one egg. I send DD a text asking 'can u borrow one egg from whoevers house u r in please?xx' (I wasnt sure if she was in my aunties, 3 doors down or next door, at her BFs). This is what she sent back 'like chicken egg?xx' I was laughing so much, I couldnt tell OH what I was laughing at. Bless her, at least she sent BF's wee brother round with an egg. I promised him some chocolate cake as a reward.

serena - more soaking in diluted bleach? Or a stronger bleach solution?

I would put tiny dots of washing up liquid on to the grease spots and then dribble on boiling water and rub in gently with your finger nail to dissolve the grease. Then wash as normal.
