Zed: Windows 2000: It's pretty stable, easy, does what it says on the tin really without the fancy frills. I think that's fair enough.

Now normally I would agree with you, but I've just spent 8 hours unscrambling the brains of a Windows 2000 Active-Directory PDC...

So I'm a bit biased against it now. I may go back to DOS...

Alas it's an integral part of it. OK when it works; train wreck when it doesn't...

  • I know, I was being facetious.

Luckily I left my IT Support role just before they went in for AD....which I look upon with mixed feelings as I am now out of the game really with my lack of knowledge.....however I have heard from friends & acquaintances that it's a nightmare to work with.

Evening?morning LA...sorry I haven't been about and sorry to hear about your tum and that your job isn't getting any better...thats a good idea for your mate to look over your CV as she may spot something you don't...hope you get something you enjoy soon
  • Right, first things first......TAXI WILL YOU STOP SAYING YOU'RE USELESS!!

ditto from me! you may not be the best at computers but we all have different talents!
LJ: Wow, that's a good sum of money raised for a very worthy cause & you got some exercise (which I could really do with at the moment!). Next weekend though....make it a fun one for you honey!

don't know about fun, am not going out for a few weeks, no spare cash after hols! But I do pla on making it useful and get a lot of things done inthe house that have been put off and put off!
  • Evening all.

Well my friend has looked at my CV and made it look fantastic! WOW I would never have thought of doing what she has done and I actually look like an amazing person on it :rotfl:.

If I get a good job out of this I am sending her a bunch of flowers and no mistake.

LJ: well remember you don't have to go out to enjoy yourself (that's *not* meant to sound rude before anyone says anything!).

You can get all pampered at home, have an evening or afternoon of catching up with people on the phone, maybe even write letters (come on! How many people just *love* getting an old fashioned mail on the doormat now that email & texts rule the roost?), perhaps get a bottle of wine and some nibbles and watch something you recorded and haven't had chance to watch yet......go through your wardrobe and mix & match clothes you haven't worn for ages......you know all that sort of stuff.

If not any of those things then I hope the useful things get done & you have a sense of achievement at the end of it. :)

you look like an amazing person on here too darling!

thanks for the comfort advice, I will spend some time on myself too but think this weekend's goals will be financial and kitchenal (!!!!!!? hahaha). there is so much stuff needing done that won't cost me anything (like the entire decorating of my hall as I've got the paper and paint but I'm too flaming lazy!) and it'll stop me spending money which I REALLY need at the moment.

fingers crossed on the job hunt xxx
