Hi LA, I'm hoping to do a car boot with the children on Sunday too! I confess though that I am just a "make it up as I go along" type of girl :o

HI LA..I'm typing off the laptop now and am getting the e-mails through on here now...after I switched the desktop on znd off it had todo something with firefox and tomtom!!!!...and then I pressed send/receive on here....but am going to look into getting some lessons though hubby left me with vista for dummies...it'll take me ages to get through that!!!...hope somebody can give you a good idea for prices
  • Thanks ladies....I will price at roughly what you say and see how we go from there.

Oh no taxi - VISTA?? Urgh - I don't like it. I much prefer Windows XP.
However, as you are starting from scratch with a book to help you I am sure that it will be much better. I simply don't like VISTA because I am more of an "expert" on other operating systems and I have VISTA to fumble about with at work, haven't really had time to get stuck in.

So what I am saying in a nutshell is...don't let me put you off! :rotfl:

  • Hi LA, gosh it seems like such a long time since I've been on here. My sky bb has FINALLY been sorted and I'm all wirelessed up so should be on more now (after a weekend at mums!).
I may have said it before but congtulaions on the engagement! Your fiance is a very very lucky man! Oh and well done on the 5 year aniversary, my flat is the only thing thats been in my life that long, five minute attention span :rotfl:
Good luck with the car boot sale on sunday, I imagine it's really pants when things sell for pennies but like you said about banking the £5.79 'it's better than being £5.79 overdrawn'

Keep smiling and if you speak to our mutual friend pass on my love, will be in touch with you both soon

I much prefer (if I have to choose a Windows) - Windows 2000. How much of a luddite does that make me then?

it was alright...but my sis was putting a team in for the relay for life which meant I had to camp out in a park in the middle of Dundee while walking sporadically round a racetrack for 24 hours, not my idea of a fun time but in a good cause I suppose. They raised around 15k for it.

Hi Taxi, good to see that you have the laptop up and running.

Well done LA on the car boot today. As you know, I failed at getting up early enough to do mine, so I am in admiration of anyone who did!

  • Right, first things first......TAXI WILL YOU STOP SAYING YOU'RE USELESS!!

I'll be coming to find you to tell you off lady! :naughty:

Zed: Windows 2000: It's pretty stable, easy, does what it says on the tin really without the fancy frills. I think that's fair enough.

LJ: Wow, that's a good sum of money raised for a very worthy cause & you got some exercise (which I could really do with at the moment!). Next weekend though....make it a fun one for you honey!

    Hypno.....well, I wasn't really an :A about the car boot sale....it didn't start till 12.30pm! :D
