Does anyone remember the Bobbits....?
NO. I wish this to stop right now! There's no way.......no way no way no way. I'm a pacifist (no really...lol!) vegetarian. Plus that really would be kind of, ahem, cutting off your nose to spite your face! :rotfl:Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

So here we are. 24 hours later after giving my last credit card the chop.
Do I feel any remorse? Do I 'eck. It took every last bit of dignity at work today not to leap around the office singing "I've got no credit cards left...doo dah doo dah!"
I did however bore (I'm sure) a long distance friend silly with my goings on about how pleased I was to have cut it up & how much of a mission I am on to clear debt this time. If she emails me back tomorrow, I'll know it wasn't *that* bad then....
I watched a programme tonight on BBC4 (freeview box, not Sky!) called:
- Planet Earth: The Future.
Did anyone else see it? Oh I really hope so. You know it made me incredibly sad. The amount of people on this planet all wanting to consume consume consume, it's unsustainable. What's being done to our host is frightening, and sad.
It resolved me to clear my debts and live a simpler life. I said to my BF whilst we were watching it "I want our house to be nice, but I want it to be simple. How about you?" Now this is why I love him.
He said "I'm happy with a roof..." :smileyhea
He's so cool. He's concerned with other people's wellbeing in the world and doesn't hanker after material things. Which is a real bonus considering the bloody state my finances are in!
Anyway, suffice to say I feel like that programme was an affirmation of some sort. I kind of had a vision of the house and how I want to spend any money I have, in the future. I hope I can hold onto that.
Crikey. Does that all sound sickly sweet or what?Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
