Thanks Zee. You are always helpful. I liked what you said about cheap & unreliable morphing into expensive & unreliable. Yes, very true.

Well I have bad news. My PC has been browser hijacked. And I can't easily sort it out. I tried for ages last night with various bits of freeware but it's not having any of it. Luckily I can get to this site though (phew) and I am very relieved about that. I can't get to many others though including my yahoo mail account.

Anyway if I am not about much in the coming weeks, it's because it's all gone down the toilet even more and I am off getting the bl**dy PC's C drive reformatted & rebuilt. However I will try & log on during the day at work where possible. And access Yahoo as well

OK what ramblings money/debt related do I have today then....

Tonight, I am off out to the works Christmas 'do'.
I bought a dress in the sale (bargain of the year for sure at £5.60) and the wine & food are free. BF is paying for a cab home and I have a fiver back from my £10 pigsback John Lewis voucher which bought me a pair of earings today to go with the dress.

I had £10 out of the speed bank as I said I would take £10. Now that I have £15 that is nice BUT I aim to come back with change.

Hmmmm, what else. We went grocery shopping today and I got a BOGOF on Dentyl which I buy anyway so that was  the shopping came in at £7 under budget which was good. Mind you I still have a few fresh bits to get towards the end of the week AND my Mum is coming to stay on Saturday and she will require Sunday lunch  Oh Lord. She might like beans on toast though, especially if I liven it up with a spoonful of chango mutney. :D

OK I don't think there's much else to say today. I'm dreading tonight (that's another story) but hey, it's free, I really can't grumble. Wish me luck guys & y'all have a good Saturday night whatever you are doing.

Oh & Minnie....you are SOOO lucky having that place to go eat! I'd love a veggie place in the City I live in. No chance though.....

    Bye for now.

Well to buy yourself some time - you can go to http://www.mozilla.com and down load and install it as an alternative browser. This will enable you to look for fixes for your IE problem.

Let me know if you have problems.

    Have you tried this procedure?

What exactly do you mean by being "hijaked"?

It happens on both IE6 and Mozilla Firefox.
I am *mostly* ok if I go to websites where you have to use a user name & password (except yahoo annoyingly) however on anything else, I can't get to my target site i.e. bbc.co.uk.....the browser has been hijacked so I get taken to some dodgy site where I can choose to watch all the p*rn or whatever I like should I wish to

Actually, no I'm *fine* thank you!! I wouldn't mind if I'd been surfing anything even slightly risque but the most exciting thing I've downloaded recently is a recipe for Parsnip Soup! (It must be the root vegetable.....)

LA beat me to it. But if either of you are ever "round my way", I'll take you there. They do a mean veggie breakfast!
 What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about?

And which spyware removers have you tried?

    Did you try Spybot S&D?

Well "That's Life" managed a whole series based on the peculiar habits of root vegetables.

I hope you are having a wonderful time and it's a lot better than you think! Hope the dreading was in no way justified during the course of the evening and you feel happy with your spending afterwards as that will give you a nice boost right now :)

I am really sorry to hear about the PC problems. I can't suggest anything as I know as much about the working of PCs as I knew about money :rotfl: I see Z is helping and hopew between you, something is sorted as not having your ramblings on here would not be good for you or us! I need to read progress and see positiveness and this thread is proving to be sooooooooooooooooooooooo good, as expected! :D

So, you have a duty to carry on :T
