I tell you I am coming back as a bloke next time.
You could always come back as me!
I'm afraid I have a decidely "blokey" attitude to housework. To the point where I've perfected the art of stepping over the rubble and going out instead so that I can't see it.
I come from the House of Many Clean Freaks but I haven't inherited the relevant gene. I used to sit and fret for hours about my inability to do housework (instead of actually doing it). These days I spend a few [STRIKE]hours[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]minutes[/STRIKE] seconds clearing up at the weekends and I believe that as long as I haven't actually contracted any diseases, my efforts are good enough. I just gaze at the icon of St Quentin of Crisp hanging over my cooker and remember his sacred words "There is no need to do any housework at all. After the first four years the dirt doesn't get any worse" and bear in mind that in my dotage I won't have any regrets about the fact that I didn't do enough housework. What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -

I'm afraid to say I'm stuck in the middle of you all! When the house is a mess I go a bit nuts (my ex used to liken me to monica from friends), I'd find I couldnt sit down and relax if something was out of place. But on the other side of the coin I am so lazy when it comes to housework that I have to do it all in a big oner or it doesn't get done!
No wonder I crack up so much, I can't even make the cleaning simple!0 -
Hi LA...great to have you back and sorry your full of a cold...the cleaning ...at least he's trying to help so don't be too hard on him...hope you get better soon0

Hi LA...just popping in to check you are ok!!!0

HI there taxi (and all who may read this!).
I am OK thanks. I haven't posted on here for a while as I haven't really had much of anything to post about.
I am feeling like I have plateaued somewhat in the financial arena right now.
The credit cards are gone :T hooooray _party_  and all that.
It's great they're gone and I am very thankful.
But I am left with the loan which I can do nothing about except slog my way through 41 more repayments so that's hard to get excited about obviously.
And...of course....the overdraft. I'm trying to bring it down but it's just gonna take more time & more pay days to bring it down to a half sensible level that I can fell good about.
I'll get there, of course I will. But it's just hard to get excited about it at the moment. My real positive, feel good factor dissipated a while back and I am trying to build it back up again but something is holding me back, I have an inkling of what it is (not money related) but won't say any more right now, I'll just plod along and see how things go, paying off what I can when I can.
After all, what else can one do?
Anyway I hope you are well too taxi, must go & read your diary now........Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
Sainsburys Loan: Cleared July 2010
Credit cards: AMEX Airmiles Card: direct debit set to clear balance monthly
