hmmmm i'll tell you about it in a more private manner at some point, but yeah it was alright, not as good as i'd hoped....in fact basically an incredibly expensive booze up for one night and too much sitting in the car.
whats with scary spamhead clogging up la's thread, lets get the official looking ahead cheer leading squad onto him, sounds like we did our job with the last challenge!0 -

I agree with Deliciosa - if you need some bits and bobs then you need them! You have cleared so much and worked so hard - as you said not buying things for ages - you do need to do the other things as well sometimes - and getting your hair done and buying a top every now and then is NOT falling off the wagon - don't be too hard on yourself :A0

Hmm, where's the "Me too" button?
I think that you are too hard on yourself.. If you spend something you think you shouldn't have, then 'fess up in Moozies thread - then move on. You certainly don't want to keep a running total of how many times you've done worse than you hoped. I think this is where a competative edge does work against you.
I think it's bobble hat who has the quote "Tomorrow is fresh, with no mistakes" and that should be your motto. You don't fail because you stop succeeding, you fail because you stop trying.
I know you're saying it isn't, but it does like you've stopped trying."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Hello everyone!
Well crikey a girl goes away for a few days and look what happens!
So I got spammed did I? Was it anything interesting..? Personal insults? Advertisements for making money? Posters for Cow Pole Dancing Clubs?
Well now.....lets work our way through....
THANK YOU Minnie & Elantan for getting rid of said spam.
To all who wished me a happy weekend...I'm happy to report I had a very happy weekend! Well I am now suffering with streaming eyes & nose (but who in the UK isn't at the moment??) but it didn't really hit hard until today/this afternoon so it didn't spoil things too much.
I actually went up to see a sporting event in the land of MinnieSpender so we were able to meet up and share a Saturday morning/early afternoon together. It was a really really nice few hours so again, thank you Minnie.
Note to MS: I got on that bus all in a hurry in the end didn't I? So I didn't get chance to say thank you properly for your time & expert advice in Primarnia or give you a hug goodbye so here's a virtual one :grouphug: (although I don't know the other person is...the bus driver maybe?)
LJ: I hope your first day back at work isn't too bad. My day off tomorrow will be spent blowing my nose, coughing, sneezing, drinking lemsips and scrubbing the carpet where I notice BF has trodden mud in over the weekend where he's been helpful with taking washing in & out whilst I was away  I think you have the better deal!! (Ah well....)
To everyone who's commented on the budget thing...thanks very much, I do appreciate your take on it.
I must clarify though I didn't just think "Oh sod this, I won't bother" on the weekly budget. Though by saying I am dropping out of it, people might just say "Semantics!"
But for the moment my focus is elsewhere, like on figuring out what are the things I need to spend my money on at the moment/in the near future. Until I have got that clear in my head I might as well set a blanket budget of £500 a week because the spends could be anything up to that, it would just be kind of 'thoughtless' if you catch my drift.
I'll join back in when I am more organised; I can't do everything at once financially so I will concentrate my efforts for now in the areas I feel I have more control over right now.
However be clear that this doesn't mean I am giving up on being DFW, not by a long chalk. I can't afford to give up on being a DFW! I'm in this for months ahead of me yet and no mistake.
I got a letter from Tesco Finance whilst I was away confirming they have closed my account so now I am officially credit card free!! :j
Now that's worth celebrating.
(I'm off to make a green tea!)
Thanks again to all...and don't give up on me!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
Sainsburys Loan: Cleared July 2010
Credit cards: AMEX Airmiles Card: direct debit set to clear balance monthly
