I'd love to learn salsa as well...glad to see you're taking it up in jan again...I know it's £5 but don't beat yourself up over it..you need time to enjoy yourself...it may help you with the drudgery of those last few steps to debt freedom...you're nearly there now0 -
Note to self:
Must include in w/c 17th Decemeber budget (Moozie thread) the following:
£10 to Andrew
£?? spend on Xmas food tonight (paying by cheque so it won't cash till next week, maybe even after pay day on 21st).
This needs to be added on to daily spends as well on the appropriate days.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Hi taxi et al! :santa2: (oops sorry Minnie if you are reading....here's a non festive wave for you hon....:hello:)
Well good news good news. We went shopping for Christmas food & alcohol tonight. My boyfriend insisted on paying for it and he also insisted that the present I picked for the Secret Santa person I drew out of the hat, went into the trolley as well! So that saved me £8.
So that's completely brilliant as it all came to just under £80 and that would have set my January overdraft plans back a bit!
I did put petrol in the car for him yesterday (a tenner's worth) and he was trying to thrust this £10 note back at me but I couldn't take it - not after all the shopping that he paid for! I would have felt awful.
What a sweetheart though. :heart2: Corrr we stocked up on all sorts of naughty things.......our house is naughty food & drink central at the moment
Went out for a walk at lunchtime today and resisted going anywhere near any shops - even the second hand shop! :rotfl:
Came home from work today and got stuck into domestic chores (bliss  ) and one of those chores was putting fresh sheets on the bed. I can't wait to climb in tonight. I was thinking one of the (sort of) 'free' things in life that really love, is having a clean & tidy bedroom, putting on fresh bedding and then climbing in for an early night and laying there, just daydreaming for a while.
I'd better stop...I am making myself all snoozy just thinking about it!
Friday tomorrow woohoo! Can't wait for the weekend. It's not going to be a particularly busy one and hopefully it will be quite a cheap one too.....I'm just looking forward to relaxing and I have Monday off too which is GREAT.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Grrrr.
Missed my weekly budget this week by £8 because I forgot to budget for the Secret Santa present I needed to buy...and that was the £8.
I guess it could have been a lot worse, a whole lot worse, especially considering the time of year but I am cross with myself because it is another example of me forgetting things.
HOWEVER saying that it's been a lot better recently that it was even when I started this diary so......mustn't beat myself up too much.
I must remember I am not superhuman.....:D
Well now.....off to watch "Strictly...." now and will muse over what things need to be paid for this coming week so I know what to set myself tomorrow if Moozie is about to start the budget thread.

Hi LA...do not beat yourself up over £8...it's near impossible to stick to a budget 100% at this time of year...we always forget things as there is so much going on everyday...think how much worse it'd be if you hadn't have been thinking about what you're spending...it's still a massive achievement:T :T :T :T0

You're doing so well, LA. But reading through what people are going through to make Xmas a goodie makes me glad I don't indulge!
Even if I did, I've got other things to worry about right now - I wouldn't even be able to start on Xmas until the end of the week. Which would be too late!
You're moving in the right direction - keep it going! What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160
