I hope all goes well for the op.
I wondered where your thread went about needing a dog walker, hope you find someone cheaper soon, it must be a worry.

Each time I see your George, it sets me thinking of my cat Jaffa who I had to have PTS a few years ago. He's the image of him.

Jaffa got a tumour in his throat and had to be PTS. Not quite sure how old he was as he was a rescue cat but I think he was 10 or more.

Gerge had an op on both his legs before he was 1 year old, luxating pattela.. I do not think he walks all right, need to go back to the vet and do another Xray -= if anything is wrong still, will ask for a referral to another vet. Mine is an ortho vet but... will get George referred to RVC in London .. ill take him this week hopefully.

Perhaps it is something with ginger cats?

    :(

Just a thought, do you have any holidays you can take after your one month full pay to extend your re-cooperation time?

    Might be worth looking into.

I do have 29 days A/L, took 2 for Wed/Thu pre op and will not be able to take more straight after the op as "steggered return" was put in place for me by OH.. which means:

    week1 - 4 hours per day
    week 2 - 5 hours per day
    week 3 - 6 hours per day
week 4 - back to full time, 7.5 hours per day

Full pay while on staggered return of course.

I have only started this job a month ago.. sigh...

Had a call from the hospital, admission this Friday (20th), operation on Saturday (21st).

Took Thursday off, they will call me Friday morning to tell me which ward to report to on Friday and what time, some time in the afternoon.

So will be oficially on "sick leave" from Friday the 21st....

I do not have internet on my mobile but will report back here when I am back at home. I was told up to 6 days in the hospital .. Hmmmmm

Text me your ward details....it's easy for me to get to Guys and I can drop off some grapes.

[or a couple of annoying cats that have been bickering all week.....]
