I just hold the pipe away from my boot, problem solved.

Unless it's the company Mondeo, then it just gets pulled across the rear windscreen.

As you approach Llandudno via the A470 you travel down a dual carriageway which comes to a roundabout. At the roundabout you can either turn left, right or go straight ahead however straight ahead turns from dual to single carriageway. On the approach there are plenty of signs and massive great arrows painted on the road specifying that the right hand lane on the approach to the roundabout is for right turn only. However you often see people whizz down the right hand lane and go all the way around the roundabout to carry on straight ahead. I don't think this is intentional as such, I think most of them are hoping to cut someone up halfway around the roundabout but resort to going all the way round when there's no gap to cut in to.
The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water

    Not a problem then.

that is one of my absolute pet hates, along with people that will sit at the disabled spaces in the car park and wait for one to become available, even though all the cars that are parked are empty

Reminds me of disabled badge holders who sit and wait in a disabled parking space while their able body passenger does some shopping.

Well assumed able bodied, but I see it all the time in town.

Never in the UK, because (as far as I know?) it's against the law here.

However, when I lived in Oz this was standard practice. Although it did take me a while to get my head around, having originally learnt to drive in the UK - and then un-teach myself the habit after moving back here... :undecided

the system works well in the US and Canada, gets traffic cleared away from junctions quicker - though obviously they are turning right rather than left, driving on the wrong side of the road as they do;)

I never do it here, though, far too many CCTV cameras hiding these days.;)

I really never ever thought about using ONLY the petrol pump that was more suitable for my side of petrol cap - why are they designed with hoses that are suspended from high up if not to make it easier to stretch across the car? For those who I have annoyed unwittingly I apologise - I will bide my time in the queue next time, blocking anyone else from moving either.;)

People take short cuts every day, but if that short cut happens to run past a queue then it's somehow "wrong".... Say's a lot really!

    Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHr7dIrbEpE

Two ways I could have done this, first one is take a short cut through a village and come out near the end of the video OR do what I did.

If i'd taken the short cut nobody would blink an eye, but im betting some people were cursing me for using the open lane!
