At first the payday loan companies will not accept the offer but once they have added a few charges (but less than the deferment payment each month) they will pass it to a debt agency to collect who will be more reasonable.

Thank you for your advice on the payday loan companies, thats very interesting to know. Sometimes its easier to go to a debt agency as they just want payment. fingers crossed.

Thank you mummy, I am so excited about my new bank account, very excited. Opened one for DD too so can start saving for her. I am cutting all ties from my previous bank. All ties! Just need to wait for my card and everything but apart from that I have my account details and thats all I need. Its such a wonderful feeling.

Thank you for the ebay tip, I will do that. Is it till tonight? I have lots which I want to list for more than 99p so it will benefit me. What a busy day I will have!

Great post Lost!! Really sounds like you are pulling it together. I am so pleased for you.

There is nothing sillly about putting up reminders of happier times. It is part of working towards having happier times again, which you will have.

Good you have opened a bank account for DD too. Even just a £1 or so every now and then, it all adds up.

I am so impressed with how strong you are sounding. Keep at it girl

What a week, I missed the free listing on ebay thanks to OH's family turning up but hey but anyway what can be done.

Paid £25.50 into DD's account, she got £20 for her birthday so Ive put that away for her.

Ive done 5 hrs overtime this wek which I am really pleased about. It was hard work as long days but I done it and its extra money! Which we are going for.

Closed my old bank accounts yesterday which I am pleased about, because there is an overdraft on one of them I will need to pay that back but the account is frozen and no one can now take money from it. It no longer exists to people who want to take payments. So those pay day loans cant take the money now and I wont get the charges from the bank. Will just need to deal with them now. I can do this.

Also I have spoken to my credit card companies/debt collectors acting on their behalf. I now have payment plans in place and i will now get back on track. I will one day have good credit rating.

I have overcome by 'feeling bad' when OH pays. I dont earn much, I am in the financial mess cause of myself but why should I struggle more because he wants me to pay for loads/shopping/bills etc etc etc. No if he is willing to pay for things then I will now be smarter with the money and get the most out of it. Maximise everything and really make it stretch as much as I can.

He has the weekend off, so I need to make the most of it and list list list on ebay. Its a must, he can spend some time playing with DD whilst I crack on. I have given myself a target of listing 20 items this month. I am starting off with small things first, I have worked out that I dont want to overload myself with stuff as I then get panicky!

Things are looking up when I sit back and look at what I have been doing, I would still have my head in the sand if it wasnt for you all. I know I have a long road to recovery but its a start. I am more determined than ever which is somewhere I really didnt think I would be. Thank you all so much. xxx

Yay to you closing the account down, yes you can deal with them. Well done on tackling this. Well done on the extra 5 hours work too, its not easy when youve little ones and what not.
