I am having a meeting with two people from Head Office this week regarding this subject. Any questions you wish me to ask them please post on here .
when agents go on holiday is abig issue, how can we ask simeone to work for us and earn no pay, have heard the agent will be penalised when they come back off holiday, why lend to new customer only been on 7 wks ,missed one payment of that and been offered 200 which i had to do,the loans are agreed with provident, the agent is the skivvey for them so why oh why take deductions off us,this wk ive had 2 customers reduce thier payments one from 49 to 10,the other from 25 to 10,this is going to cost me dearly on these 2 alone and there is nothing i can do about it ,and this seems the pattern for us so so fed up
  • lol , what would an ex agent know, three adverts on portal for Development Manages, plus interviews for two ROM positions.
I'll tell you Bash what an Ex Agent would know. I've had Security round my house and phoning me, trying to get me to dish the dirt on a manager so they can sack him !!!! This is at an office with 2 managers off sick so I would think the last thing they would need is another manager down if they didnt need that amount !!!!

Could you clarify what happens when another agent/deputy covers your round?

I am expecting a baby late Summer, will be working right up until my due date and taking approx 6-8 weeks off (oh yes, us agents are sooo lazy) I have a fellow agent covering my book.

I hate to think that when I come back from maternity leave I shall be even more out of pocket.
  • If this wage structure is not going to go away they should deduct the write off each month from the manager's sales figures. That should stop them going out and doing loans on people agents have declined.
  • If anyone is interested, someone set up a dedicated form for Provident agents who want to organize a coherent response to "the latest policy".

The forum needs agents and ideas - so if you're a provi agent, please consider heading over there and registering.

Since I'm a new member here, I'm not allowed to post a link, but the url you need to hit is "agentsunited-dot-proboards-dot-com"

For you iPhone owners out there, proboards has an iPhone app BTW.

I hope this is of some small help to those of you who are suffering under this draconian and utterly unfair policy.

    Disclosure:
I am not affiliated in any way with provi or greenwoods. I'm making this "appeal" on behalf of my significant other who is an agent, and like all of you, stands likely to be materially affected by "the new policy".

if agents actually chased up the right leads then you'd not be losing money but hitting bonus'. These "fines" if thats what you want to call them don't affect the agents who do their jobs well. A lot of agents are lazy and don't see the gains you could make.
your comment was out of order. i do my job properly my mileage has gone up by 20 a week chasing bad cumtomers. what can you do when they either stand there and say they are broke or they just dont answer the door. i havent had a day off in three years. couldnt afford one now. gonna lose £50 this week. how about managers share this burden 50/50..................

They do its called cash loss :p

Which is deducted at 100% against the original sales value of 28%,

How exactly is it the managers fault ?

You return all the commission you have earned in the promotions and all the 15% commission on new doors and the manager can return their bonus payments, i think you will better off in the long run, the system is here to stay, i am earning more that i ever did :j, old school old way dont pay.
  • put more hours in, you earn more a week than DM's do, yet you'd expect them to run around for you. They've got enough on especially if covering a large section. Get canvas-ing. There are ways of making up the money you've lost. Financial times are hard, this means less cosy hours and more hard work and chasing the £££'s. You take all this out on your DM. what do you expect them to do? Threatening to do no issue or giving cruddy figures in will only lead to your termination if you're not upto the job you signed for. Bash The Agents is on the ball. Thumbs up to you :)
