There is a way round it. Go for the payment but dont put it in you will lose £10 but get it back the following week when you put double in. tell the customer what you are doing.

this is company money you are holding back.
when a customer pays you, its not for the future, its for here and now and you will be manipulating customer accounts.
good god, if this is the standard of agents and their responses, god help provident if you stay

ok then. how about when we take our commision, take the amount before the fine. ok we will be short every week, but hey ho. can we do that?
  • i have a monthly payer that I have lost twice on now since this system was introduced. I have decided that this week I am going to (with there permission) put in the amount to maintain the arrears stage and then play it by ear each week but not put in too much that it improves there stages and I again lose next month hope this makes sense.

Not offering anything constructive here but this scheme is here to stay from the initial outcry to a week or two later, i still say if you don't like it change it by leaving.

I'm a Provident customer and pay monthly - will this be losing my agent commission then? If so I'll go back to weekly.

They hold back bags to get the sales and collections the agents have not done in the first place.

How would that benefit you if the max you gain or lose is £15.00
