Well mr crook (yes we know you and your brown noses are reading this) can you see what you have turned your workforce into. From loyal staff who gave you everything collecting in all weathers knowing that you at least gave a small amount of loyalty back. All we get now is contempt from you !
Perhaps your position should be self employed and when the figures are down one week you can have ur wages reduced. BUT DON'T WORRY OVER 12 WEEKS IT WILL AVERAGE OUT YOU WON'T LOOSE OUT. Have you got the balls for that. No didint think you would have0 -
There are employed people, workers and self employed. Provident agents come under the self employed umbrella.
As self employed people you can issue Provident with a counter commission statement excluding the deductions if they are not specifically mentioned in your contract. Similarly, if other expenses are mentioned in your contract these can be claimed too.
Another point comes to mind. If you are being asked to act as debt recovery agents with charges involved. Have provident issued you all with a licence to do so. Otherwise you "the agent" may be acting illegally by demanding payments at the door.0 -
I urge all agents to call 0800 788887 HMRC who can be contacted in confidence. If enough of use get in touch with them they will look into the self employed status of reps and the control that provident have over us. What have you got to lose apart from a free phone call.0

I am an agent with Provident, I enjoy my job and I like 'working' my agency. I have built up good relationships in the 15 years associated with the company. We have all experienced alot of change in the last few years, some good and some bad. The latest changes to our contracts are in my opinion a step too far. I don't want to stop working for the company but I do want the company to know how I an other agents feel. Many rely on their weekly wage and can not affford to have deductions made irrespective of whether they may or may not get them back later. Any deductions mean they have to go without for that week.
In our office i feel some support from some DM's and the AM because they are the ones receiving all the flack from disgruntled agents and some agents have left because of the ill feeling!
To all the other agents who are in the same position as me, I suggest that you withdraw from all sales starting week 20! Do collect because you need to earn money and your customers do need you too. For those reading this note, please talk to your colleagues and ask them to support this action. It is only collectively that we can get Provident to review these changes and possibly reconsider. If your not happy then it;s SIMPLE! Act now and ACT TOGETHER!
Please respond to this and let me know whether you are going to support this action? Thank you!0 -
ALL AGENTS READ THIS. NO SALES WEEK 20. lets see how provident respond to that. collect cause u need ur wage but doing no sales wont hurt u but will hurt provident and if it doesn't change things then no sales till it does. are u reading this DM'S.0

I now feel that its no longer my round so therfore I cant be self employed can I as I didnt make the decision to do the loan, someone else did
They only do it so they can get their bonus , They don't care if it pushes people over the edge , I have seen it so many tomes in the last 12 months .
If I had done it my way they would have still been paying what they could have afforded .0 -
How many of the agents on here are ready and willing to fall on their swords and contact watchdog with their full name address and e mail address. If you are that worried and peed off you would do it for the greater good. In a sentence put up or shut up.0
