The scheme is aimed at rewarding agents and not collectors which most of you class yourself as ( there is a big difference ).
I dont class myself as a collector, if i did i wouldnt have lasted in the job as long as i have and built up the round as i have. I also control my arrears and under the scheme havent lost anything. But at best I will lose £60 this week, through various cases, CAB, debt management and utr's. We had penalties in our branch which wiped out some of the promotion gains so people didnt just put on anything for a quick gain. I have always given new ideas a fair trail before i give a judgement on it, but this is so flawed. Over the longer period you give it, it can only get worse. Because even if you got every cust back to quality, after that you would only have losses as you'd have no arrears to improve. which is what ive said in a previous post. Even some dm's in my branch agree that this is the case. By all means if something has to be done because of the slide in quality, think of something less drastic than this. The hits are too large to cope with in one week. Under the old IQ system, non payers cost you more in the long run but the deductions were smaller so easier to manage. can you honestly say its ok to justify an agent losing £115 of a £140 wage in one week? on a book they took on that was never the greatest of quality in the first place and half the customers they havent even signed up.0 -
