The AGM for shareholders is on Friday 4th May in bradford
Perhaps family or friends would like to attend with some placards showing the support for the workers !!!
Im sure it would not be the welcome that the shareholders would like to be met with  or even the press that will be in attendance
Peter Crook wouldnt be so smug then

Actualy I am neither on the dole nor claim any benefits of any sort and do not swivel in an office chair all day !
I just think you lot need to grow up and get with the the picture and I hope they sack you all.
It is nothing to with me borrowing as stated I never have nor will do.
I just think you are mere crustacians of the sea that feed on the bottom and ply your dubious sales patter to reel hard up people in and then scavange what ever you can.
crazyguy.
please go away , and play with the traffic,,, you have no concern here,,, go and entertain yourself with something more palatable to yourself like ,,, erm............ your playstation .......... goodbye .0 -
I looked into the fact of whether or not we are self employed when the fines came about a few years ago and to be honest it was a very grey area and one that Provident can not decide upon themselves if challenged. Its down to HMRC to make the final decision but as the fines were quashed in my office I didnt pursue it but it is perhaps something to look into. In all honesty im not an agent anymore but I do have friends and family who are so have a great interest in this thread. I cant post links but check on the HMRC site for definitions of self employed.
From the digging around I did at the time it appears we werent necessarily self employed because we arent totally responsible for our own books in that DMs can issue loans to our customers. They also tell us when and where to collect and push us to make more sales and collect more. Agents are not the only decision makers.
Has anyone thought about getting in touch with the Agent Forum? Another way to contact other agents is to speak to your customers because no doubt they will have friends/family who deal with another agent. get them to pass your number on.0 -
errrm, i have an interview tomorrow for an s/employed agents job working 3 days a week.
i have been told i will earn £250-£300 gross p/week.
up to now the bonuses are frequently mentioned but the 'non payer' £15 deduction isnt....are the provvident liars? are they ok to work for?
dont like being ub40 but dont like being ripped off!
a few years ago . you could possibly earn some decent money, as there were bonuses, to be had, but now we are being deducted from £5 to £15 per customer who goes into arrears, now, with the current economical climate, i personally have had many customers not able to pay there full rate, this time 2 years ago i was earning £250 a week on average, this week i have come home . after taking charges and petrol out, £80. a bit of a drop there , so be very careful .0 -
add the link of the mirror site to ya facebook profile lets get as many people as we can on side !!0

You cant all start throwing your toys out of your pram until the scheme has run at least six weeks, get your DM to log all your deductions and then average it out and see how you stand, gone are the days when we could earn a couple of grand for putting on competition customers with no penalties, i still earn on average £18.00 per hour but i control my arrears, and i know for a fact that my hardworking DM & AM have got zilch this year in bonus and are under alot of pressure to get results. The scheme is aimed at rewarding agents and not collectors which most of you class yourself as ( there is a big difference ).0

well said, my thoughts exactly0 -
Wouldnt suprise me if CRAZYGUY was PETER CROOK trying to wind us up even more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
