some agents are so angry they are paying back the bonus they earned on the promotions, and also, all the extra commision they are earning on any refi they do, they will be giving to charity, also some agents who only do this part time (8-10 hours per week) and take home 300 to 400 pounds and in some cases even more, they are so angry they are going to work 35 hours a week at the local morrisons sitting and scanning frozen chickens through a barcode reader. Work for the minimum wage elsewhere for 35 hours get taxed have NI taken every week ,wear a uniform, work in a lovely air conditioned cattle market, have a camera record your every move, ask permission to take a wizz, and when you have to collect your kids from school or do anything remotely human just leave your job at any time because your supervisor and their managers will fully understand and reimburse to you any lost wages for the inconvenience you have suffered.

Well Well Well Crazyguy there is always one (idiot), it always amuses me when people like you (idiot) jump into a debate without any personal knowledge, understanding or even the intelligence to understand what this is about. For the record your "friends" would have been issued a payment book in which each payment is recorded by the agent, and secondly if your "friends" have had to pay for 3 or 4 months longer thats because they probably missed 3 or 4 months worth of payments, so guess what -that makes them (idiots) along with you. Stop posting your ridiculous remarks on this site and go annoy some bus on the by-pass!!!!!! (idiot)

I see the name you listed is wrong should be that Your A Joke,

As I said 2 people I know of that were conned and one of those the agent was a thief and didnt hand in the money paid to him, explain that one away then, and I love the fact that you act very mature in your post attempting to both belittle and vent your anger against myself how grown up of you.

Also the other case again Mr Or Mrs Clever, the person was not behind at all and was lied to from the actual person whom sold and then collected on the loan.

If you dont like people being open and honest and giving there own point of view then quite simply do not post on an online forum in the first place as is the clue that is online forum.

I shall explain in the case that you may not be able to understand what these are about.

Its quite straight forward actualy, you or another person writes something and others simply give a reply to that comment so for you to jump down my throat because you didnt like what I stated must have either touched a nerve as you were the one that pocketed my friends money and or didnt give the other friend the correct time scale of the loan.

    One more thing for you.

IF YOU DO NOT LIKE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM DO NOT POST ON HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE !

and another thing if you dislike your job that much do what the rest of us do and seek different employment !

I'd love to know who does 8-10 hrs for that money because no one in our branch does. And I know that for a fact. Plus you obviously dont understand 'self-employed' because we do pay tax and NI, and we do take our commission weekly but its certainly not 'take home' pay as you would compare to a PAYE employee.

It amazes me how some people just stick posts on here with so called constructive criticism, which it isnt actually, its just a dig at us. Just because some agents earn well for the job they do (and believe me there are alot that dont earn much) they shouldnt not have the right to voice a opinion on something that is forced upon them that they dont agree with. No one wants to work for the same amount of hours and earn less. And usually on these weeks you actually work more hrs because youre trying your hardest to make up the deficit.
  • Has anyone any idea who we could complain to about these fines?. Is there an e-mail address for the person at the top of the company that we could all write to and voice our concerns?.I feel it's not much good going to our DMs as whether they agree with this new structure or not, they aren't high enough in the ladder to do anything to get this overturned. Maybe ACAS could help? TBH, I don't know where to turn for support and don't want to end up working for nothing. We are too isolated in our individual offices to make a difference we need to band as as whole group to try and shame the fat cats and have this new pay structure stopped.

My husband went in today to collect his clip and bag - they paid him £17 after deductions.

The so called 4 week reprieve that his manager said he would have had been withdrawn. Needless to say he has walked. £17 won't even cover the petrol that he uses each week in doing his collections

They also had a go at him because they had called a customer - one of his best payers!! and said that as the customer could barely speak or understand English he was wrong to sell him a loan (which he didn't - it was sold by the salesman in the first place and the office agreed the top up loan which husband did). The manager said that as he couldn't understand English he could get out of paying (not that he has ever tried this)..... strangely enough husband has never had a problem having a normal conversation with him, and was even told that with another non English speaking customer he could use a translator to sell a loan!!!!!!!! He didn't sell the loan that time as he didn't think it was right

So, now he is on the jobhunt again... and we're on my part time income with a risk of losing tax credits I think as he isn't physically working. I'll be job hunting too as local government is in a pickle jobs wise with redundancy looming and I'll need to either change jobs at a time like this or take a second job and miss out on my 3 year old. Thanks Peter Crook - hope that you enjoy your 82% payrise this year - over £1million salary - you're worse than the bonus bankers who got the country in this mess!

As you can tell I'm a bit p****ed off now - at least £400 a month was better than nothing and he felt that he could contribute in some way rather than being emasculated with his wife being the only earner
All of my views are my own :o

Nothappyatall...I agree. The business has changed so much in the last year its unreal, all we hear day in day out is sales sales sales. 'what about my arrears calls?' 'oh no we're not doing those, we've been told to concentrate on sales'. The company seem to have lost all touch with reality and what we used to be good at. Doorstep lending has always been based around the face at the door, thats what made Provident successfull and the company it is today. All they seem to care about is the fiqures for the money men. Do they not realise the impact this new scheme is having on the workforce. The morale is at an all time low, people are so disgruntled, they are doing whatever they can in their power to make themselves heard but no one is listening. I know this site is being monitered at head office so why doesnt someone up there do something about it before the real damage is done and youve lost very good agents who work damn hard for you and have spent years building up relationships with people to make their rounds halfway decent. which during the last couple of years has been very difficult. Everyone knows when a round is changes agents it nose dives for awhile so what will that achieve by saying you can leave if your not happy. We get no pleasure in thinking 'right, i'll cut back on my sales, wont put on any new custs, i'll do this, i wont do that' but it is so frustrating and it seems that is the only way we'll make an impact. sort it out!!
