After just receiving my target sheet for this week I see it's going to be a waste of my time collecting. I have potential fines of 120 pounds and a plus target of 20 pounds.Of the £120 I may be able to save 50 of it but I know the target payments for the 2 gains are impossible so by the time I pay my petrol I will be around £90 short leaving me with nothing. What's the point of even going out! Totally fed up!!!0

Heres one for all agents. We all know how much we will be hit for on this new system. Why not on a monday night work out how much you will lose, Then bank every penny of providents money except this amount and hold this as a float. You are able to hold a float for a while so technically you are using providents own money to pay your deductions. Then when you win it back you can replace it. It gives every manager a headache as float cheques need to be written weekly or better still tell them you dont need any as you have no sales lined up, then phone them telling them you need a thousand pound as you have come across a sale and will not have time to do it unless they bring you money. They want sales, let them do a lot of work for a change. as for SLUGS crawling around this site I say good as then they will know how agents feel and how badly they feel for the top brass. good luck XXX0

As an agent of 13 years i feel strongly that the new "initiative" introduced very quietly in an attempt to improve the amount of "Quality Customers" may have a detremental effect on the company as a whole. 3 weeks into the scheme and i am facing a potential loss of £250 ( from one weeks wages), which is just under 50% of my weekly wage! surely this has to be bordering on illegal and most definately morally wrong! So now at the beginning of my week im having to study a list in an attempt to minimise my loss and this is continued throughout my week leaving little time for recruitment of new customers, management of current quality customers including servicing with issue, and chasing arrears cases etc. I could go on and on re the negatives of this new "brain child"! btw i have nothing positive to say about it because there isnt anything positive to say about it. i feel helpless as they know theyt have us because of our self employed status and because of the current economic climate there arent any other employment options for many of us! But do they really have us???? Im looking into it and will go to every length possible to try and get this "joke" of an initiative halted before it bankrupts us all!! In this case maybe there IS such a thing as Bad Publicity!!!!0

rumour has it that as self employed agents we have to make a request to provident for them to start a union for us to join!!! i seriously dont fancy our chances of that happening!!!0

Have you looked at daily mirror opinion theres a link on a posting on page 4. Think things will start to happen quite soon. as agents dont collect as not worth it and managers have to collect. we all know that not having the regular agent collect affects things dramatically and when they start to lose money and are out collecting all week there may be a change of heart. Why not if you have an account that has gone stage 9 and cost you £10/£15 just not collect it anymore. It then cant be brought back into the quality pot hence there being no sales message and managers having to service the account.0

as a fellow agent i can feel ur agony and feel totallly helpless. my target report this week has possible loss of £250 with possible gains of £40!!! and this being the 2nd bank holiday in two weeks and a royal wedding thrown in for good measure, i dont see myself reducing my hits by much!!! am currently seeking legal advice on unionship and the general legality of this so if i hear anything ill let you know!!0

unfortunately a lot of agents are afraid to rock the boat and are keeping quiet at this stage!!! i have spoken to a few who are of the same opinion as me (and you by the looks of it) but when it comes to voicing their concerns to their dms or roms they lose their bottle!! the fight goes on though!!!good luck with your "retirement"!0

agree totally with you and am awaiting a copy of my contract but have been told that it IS stated somewhere that the company reserve the right at any time to deduct monies from agents in conjunction with various initiatives!!! but as you say, if 11000 people stand as one, we must be listened to!!!0

i know the feeling as im out to lose a possible "£250 this week but just make sure that u continue to let ur dm and rom kno of your dissatisfaction at this travesty!!!!0
