I have to say i have been a n agent for 2 years and this week have given my notice and leave next month as im not gonna lose half my wages for something i have no control over , before i leave i will do my best to protest against this ridiculas pay structure , me and another agent have spoke today about having an agents meeting after been told by AM THAT THERE HAS NOT BEEN ENOUGH COMPLAINTS ABOUT IT !! and you are so right all 11,000 agents have to stick together !

I think the reason there hasnt been any meetings is because they no they wont be able to cope with the anger! Not enough complaints?? not likely, i dont know anyone that agrees with this. also when have you ever known to have something with as big an impact as this not having a proper launch? they knew full well what would happen.

I dont believe there havnt been enough complaints either. If agents havnt complained its because they have only gained so far, wait until they lose money and see how loud they shout then.

I think in the contract it states they can change the commission scheme as and when they like so maybe its covered in that. Cant put my hands on mine so cant comment definitely but I think I remember something like that from when they began the £5 fines and we all looked into that.

Was a facebook group set up for this or not?

if the managers done there job in the first place and went out and done the arrears then maybe the customers wouldnt be behind and the agents wouldnt be getting charged!

I am afraid I have no sympathy for you what so ever,

You say they are transparent well I think not as I know a couple of people whom have been both duped and robbed blind by the likes of you guys and to be honest the whole company should be closed down with an imediate effect.

One case I know the agent didn make the actual monies paid by a friend to the company and a now Provident ( Thieves ) are attempting to take him to court for the amount owed.

In another case they stated a figure to pay and the actual debt lasted another 3 or 4 months longer than what they were told.

At least with the banks they in some case listen to a complaint Provident ( thieves ) do not and as for expensive credit cards well who owns Vanquis one of the UK's biggest apr on a credit card oh what a surprise its Provident Thieves ) again

Well Well Well Crazyguy there is always one (idiot), it always amuses me when people like you (idiot) jump into a debate without any personal knowledge, understanding or even the intelligence to understand what this is about. For the record your "friends" would have been issued a payment book in which each payment is recorded by the agent, and secondly if your "friends" have had to pay for 3 or 4 months longer thats because they probably missed 3 or 4 months worth of payments, so guess what -that makes them (idiots) along with you. Stop posting your ridiculous remarks on this site and go annoy some bus on the by-pass!!!!!! (idiot)

ive been an agent for 8 years now, and this is the only time ive ever hated my job, but i hear what everyone is saying and totally agree with it 100%, but saying it is not doing it!, im very passionate about the things i do and the end of the day a job is a job, this is all i have! wot else is out there? so instead of cutting my nose off just to spite my face i cant walk away without a fight, so agents of provident get your bottoms into gear all get together and do something about it now, organize a meeting with every agent in your branch, ive already got the ball rolling at our branch, we need to do it now!, one person will not be listened to but 11,000 will!

I totally agree with you i think all agents should stick together and call a meeting and show the big bosses we are not going to take being ripped off,i've been a agent for the excess of 30 years and it is the first time i feel disgusted with what they are doing, so come on all fellow agents lets stand up and be counted and lets get this sorted.
  • ive just looked at the contract and all i can find on commission is "exept when you are acting as a deputy, we agree to pay you the commission due to your agency at the rates which will apply from time to time" also just found this but please dont all fall abou laughing!!!!!!!!!
    8. "you agree that you owe us a fiduciary of trust. this means that you agree to act with the utmost good faith in all your dealings with us. you agree that you will deal HONESTLY, TRUTHFULLY, PRUDENTLY and in a trustworthy way with us and our customers at all times".............maybe the powers higher have signed a contract saying we're going to screw our agents ever way possible!!!!!!!!

Agreeing with what you say, the problem is that in reality how do we arrange this? Agents tend to work as a solo unit and so we are isolated from other agents, even when i collect my bag there may be only a couple of other agents knocking about, I personally have the mobile numbers of 2 other agents (one of them like me has already handed in their notice) - its such a shame we didnt see this coming we could have formed some kind of comittee so at least we were all standing united instead of individually!!!! Afraid its too late for me to do anything now but am still following the situation with interest and passion- GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU
  • all i can say to you is get a life all quites are written out given to the customer then its up to them if they want to go a head with it the rates are there interest are there payments are there with regards the charages just stop doing new doors new bus and loans for a month or so as everything is worked out on how much businnes is done or will be done

I'm in a simalar position having to do two jobs just to stay afloat. I lost £25 last week and looking like another £5 this week. I cant afford this for very much longer and think I would be better on dole, at least rent and council tax be paid then I could reduce my payments to provvi and it would be someone elses problem. not looked at any paper yet as am just home from work but will try looking online. thank s
