waiting for THAT phone call

well angel
Ive just had a phone call. It wont be today
the leasehold enquiries from my HA are not done  despite assurances theyd be done yesterday. Sol has kicked butt, they are being done now
their sol has raised some extra enquiries ( one being the NHBC cert, which Ive provided to the sol, so thats fine) but theres some extra ones. Ive said they can be faxed through to OH whos at work and possibly I could bomb down to his office and get the forms filled out and then faxed back today- which would possibly mean we could exchange tomorrow.
OH isnt in his office at the mo, so need to wait till he gets back in a bit
Real seat of pants stuff isnt it :beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Hi Lynz,
I'm really sorry to hear that! It makes you mad doesn't it how incompetent some people are. Surely they realise they shouldn't be raising enquiries on exchange date itself! We were meant to exchange last Friday and it didn't happen as there were still 3 outstanding queries that vendor's solicitor did not answer. Argh, let's not even go there!
Fingers crossed for me then, I need all the good luck I can get now! Good luck for tomorrow. Let us know how it goes...

well bascially the buyers solicitor sent my sol a letter a week ago saying please see forms attached for additional enquiries. My sol wrote back to them saying you havent sent the form- muppet
Then there was a whole load of nightmares where "buyer isnt buying his sister is she needs a mortgage but hes buying it" carry on last week and I nearly pulled out. We sat tight, as buyer expressed very keen to buy. but one more lie and we pull out.
Sooooooo
I speak to sol today, she says the buyers sol is now springing into action and has faxed over the enquiries to my sol, who is going to fax them to OHs office and we will appraise whether they need me to sign them or not, if not OH can fill them in over thephone with me this PM and return to my Sol this PM.
Heres hoping
I might tackle the filing now as I cant sit here all day now I have no excuse - DAMN lol
Angel are you at home or work? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Lynz, angel
just a bit of sympathy from me, and best of luck for tomorrow - shouldnt be posting from work but didnt want you to think no one cared!
ours is due to exchange tomorrow and we already know it is not going to happen till at least Monday due to problems at the bottom of the chain. No one telling me anything and when they do its all lies.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
hex, what sort of lies :beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Lynz - similar to you last week, conflicting stories from different agents. I am now only speaking to my lovely solicitor whom I trust implicitly as he is happily telling me bad news. He is getting his information from the other solicitors so I am ok with just listening to him.
We were told from the start that the FTB at the bottom had a deposit, had a mortgage offer and had signed the contract, found out yesterday that the mortgage offer has not yet been issued and she can't sign till it has been. One EA said it had all been signed, the the other that she had yet to have a survey done even - different info coming to them from the same agent at the bottom of the chain. I have my fingers in my ears saying la, la, la I can't hear you. Never mind, everyone says we can still make the 8th. Oooh, look a little piggy just flew past.
Not even sure who is telling the lies - the FTB, or the EA's!'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
im hoping for tomorrow
I had a quote for removals
