  • It'll be fine. The worst that can happen now is the funds go through a day late...but I am sure you will be done by this afternoon.

My sol is off until 1pm but send the funds through yesterday so it was there this morning. Vendor said I can collect keys at 2pm from his sol (no EA involved). Just rang mortgage co. and they confirmed insurance is activated today. BT confirmed my phone line is on (at 7am by text!) and I have just ordered Broadband.

I have a delivery between 12-2 and will be waiting around. Busy day but I am quite laid back. I think because I am not in a chain it is far less stressful. Good luck!

    good luck to you all!

Remember for completion people are aiming for lunch time, for exchange solicitors aren't generally in a rush and close of business could be 5 pm! Also you sometimes find that the whole chain of solicitors agree that exchange is possible but say they will transfer the money for tomorrow so another nail-biting delay awaits.

Go get the teabags, treat yourself to choccy biscuits and try 1471 when you get home!
