Hi everyone :hello:
Happy birthdays, congrats and (((hugs))) as appropriate. I know what you mean about kids growing up - my neice is at college and it seems only yesterday I was holding this tiny baby. Ooops - I'm deffo getting old LOL
Been busy today. Been to makro - had to go for a client so at least I can charge mileage to themHave now finished all my xmas shopping bar food, so best finish getting it wrapped. Must make a start on writing my cards as I always start off with such good intentions then it's a mad panic in the last week to meet the postal deadlines
Did most of my cleaning and laundry yesterday so it meant I could get on with my clients' jobs. Have placed appropriate orders and spoken to those I need to speak to today. I have one big assignment that's coming on leaps and bounds ATM, but it's really exciting and if I pull it off successfully, I should get some great referals :j
So, I'm about to make some sort of pasta tea ... maybe tuna pasta bake or maybe just pasta and sauce. Mr TM is out tonight. Going to see Karine Polwart in concert. I would have loved to have gone but can't get babysitter and as I'm currently getting a sore throat, maybe an early night would help (my insomnia is getting to be a joke atm too)
Anyway, lots of boys playfighting too roughly downstairs, so I may go and plug lappy in in the kitchen and have a surf whilst I'm making tea.
Have a good night
TM xxx

Afternoon :hello:
My beef stew is doing nicely in the SC, just need to make the dumplings and pop them in
Went to Argos today to pick up my ipod shuffle (24.50), water dispenser for DD :shhh: (7.99), radio controlled subaru (5.99), Winne the Pooh interactive thingimijig (29.99 - reduced to 8.99), My first lap top (12.99 reduced to 6.99) used £7.50 in nectar points and got a £5 gift card, so for £46 I got DH's birthday pressie, and 4 out of the 6 kids I've got to buy for Christmas pressies, with an extra £5 to come off DD's DVD player when we buy that - I am chuffed :j :snow_laug :j
Chores still to do tonight, ironing, another load of washing, more ironing - oh and pop to Mr T's to treat myself to a bottle of wine
Glad to see you're back Penny-Pincher and Prinny! Now where has that rascal MATH got to, and Queenie
I'd better go, otherwise I'll be on here all night
(((((hugs)))))Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -

Congratulations to the young OSers who are finding their career paths now. Well done!
I found a recipe on a website for spicy plum sauce (to use up my 28p punnet of plums) and right now this is cooking slowly and smells delicious. The added bonus is that I get to have the little glass of wine leftover as cook's treat. :j
I'm going to have a look for a stuffed pepper recipe as I picked up some bargain mushrooms today too and fancied trying a mushroom and cous cous-stuffed pepper to go with the chicken and spicy plum sauce. Yum yum.
Re: young OSers shaving, my son started shaving when he was 13 and even though he is only 14 now, he has to shave two or three times a week. Bless. None of his friends have any facial hair and I think he hates to feel left out.
Off to find that stuffed pepper recipe."Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Evening Everyone.
Congrats to Master Tap - I think that was so grown up to organise what he wanted to do rather than just dropping out and hoping for the best.
And well done master Cheerfulness.
Little Miss Peem is enjoying her birthday2 [STRIKE]immensley[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]imennsluy[/STRIKE], very much. I think she'll be caked out by the evening though. Bad mother forgot about 2 presents she'd bought (Disney cutlery and Charlie and Lola books -I'll give her the cutlery tonight and keep the books for christmas) Basically I'm not used to being organised and having stuff in more than 2 days before the event.
She's terribly OS now as I bought her a wooden kitchen from ELC. She and DS were making wooden pizza and fried egg and mushrooms at 7 am.
Had a slight panic at work when I realised I couldn't remember where the advent calendar was. It's one where you put chocolates in the pockets (sorry, Santa does) and they get eaten before breakfast. That santa needs to have a word with Jamie Oliver;) .
Had a slight panic at lunchtime - nipped out to get Nintendo DS Lite for DS' christmas (boy was the metro centre busy) - only to find HMV didn't have any offers on. Luckily I got onto amazon as soon as I got back and managed to get one with mario kart for £109. Good grief - that's his total original budget blown - do they keep getting more expensive as they get older?
Right - better go cos I'm waffling. Sorry for the stream of consciousness.
Shez - ta for the recipe.
BargainRzl - glad the funeral was ok."You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis0 -

Im addicted to it every year, but this has been the best (i think)
I thought - Oh No! when I heard the line up, but David Guest as really changed my opinion of him - his stories are great.
Do you think Ant & Dec have been funny this yr also?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -

Sorry not to post this morning but have had DD3 home today. She was sick last night and even though she is 101% today the school say she cannot come in!!!! So we went out to the local garden centre and looked at the displays, picked up some wordsearches and quizzes and had a coffee.
When we came home I went to sleep!!!! I don't know what came over me but I was asleep by 1pm and did not wake up til 4pm!!!
I am all behind now, like the cows tail, as a friend used to say.
Not sure what to do for tea, OH will be late about 7pm and I don't feel like doing anything.
So windy it seems like the roof will blow off.
Moan over.
Love and hugs to all those in need.

All this talk of baking ..... I'm going to have to have a bit of a "sesh" shortly. I love fruit cakes (light ones as opposed to xmas tyoe ones) and I'm drooling at the thought of such delights as coffee and walnut etc. My friend gave me a recipe for a date and something cake which sounded scrummy but i have yet to make it (or even remember exactly what it is :rotfl:)
Need to get making HM mince pies. Resorted to bying a box of 18 today at Makros as my boys love them. Mind you, if I had a tv in the kitchen I could bake etc AND watch Celebrity GMOOH
*wanders off thinking about where on earth I could fit a tv into the kitchen.....*0
