I was delighted to get Gap-Parents back on Saturday morning. On Friday afternoon the gears/clutch went on my car (we knew that was going to happen at some point :() and I was supposed to be picking them up. I had to text them to tell them I couldn't go for them which they said was fine. However, I managed to get hold of Mr G (he was at work) and he said I could take his car :j I have never driven Mr G's car in my life before and it is a big BMW (well, when I say big, it is big in comparison to my tiny toyota yaris!) but I managed it and Gap-Parents were delighted to get a lift home at 5.30am in the pouring rain instead of having to get a bus then a taxi.

£1.30 to PAD today. I haven't PADded all weekend as I have been paying out money left, right and centre :o Had a wedding on Saturday night and the drinks were quite expensive. I loaned Gap-Sis £20 because her cashline card wasn't working (turns out it was out of date as of 1st Sept. She had been trying to get money out since the 1st with no luck and didn't even click that that was what it could be :rotfl: ) She has paid it back now but I just felt really skint this weekend, my hand was constantly in my pocket :(

Anyway, beautiful sunshine here today. First day in ages I have not had my heater on at work. Still quite tired from the weekend so looking forward to the end of the day (2pm finish on Mondays!)

Right, better do some actual work :D

  • Hi GAP,

Sorry to see you had a bust up with Mr G, but good that it is all forgotten about now :p

I have missed coming on here so much and finding out how everyone was getting on :D Must be my nosey nature :o Either that or that I am just a sad git Billy no mates :rotfl:

It must be nice to have a really close relationship with your parents, I listen to other peoples relationships and always wish I had that kind of relationship with mine. My father causes me nothing but trouble (he doesn't mean to he just can't seem to help it) and my mom I think would always be there for me but there sometimes feels like there is something missing. Did your parents have a nice time?

It has been horrid down here today, overcast cloudy with bits of rain, wind but worst of all, blooming freezing! It is probably a good thing we don't have a combi boiler or it would have been flicked on today :o
    Just keep swimming!

My parents had a great time thanks Itsa. Gap-Mum says she thinks it is the best holiday they have had. They went there a couple of years ago and it turned out that some of the people they met the last time were also back as well! Instant friends :D

Off up town at lunchtime to get LM's money for her trip. I looked in her bank book this morning and there is twice the amount in it that I thought was in it :D:j:D so it won't look quite as bad as I thought it would once I have taken the £290 out.

I can't PAD at the moment as I am going for dinner tonight with one of my colleagues and one of my old colleagues (Grinders!!) so I will wait to see what change I have left over tonight.

The sun has disappeared now :(

Nothing to PAD yesterday :( although did get a £2 coin which will go into the £2 coin pot then be included in my PAD total at the end of the month :) Not sure if I can PAD today yet or not as not sure if Mr G can pick me up yet.

I am so busy trying to keep up with the PAD thread and the totalling that I feel I am neglecting everyone elses diaries at the mo :o

Bossman was supposed to be out all day today but he is in :mad: I'm having to do lots of work :(

    Best get back to it.

    Have a lovely day everyone.

  • I think we will all have to come and see you on the PAD thread instead then ;-) Are you updating the daily totals permanently or just stepping in for somebody?

A tiny bit of your sunshine made it down here today, after I was about 1.5 miles away from home in my ski jacket walking the dog. To say I was sweaty when I got home is an understatement :-) Although I am now cold again ;-)

    PAD today of £11.30 :T

Raining and miserable here today but I actually feel quite at home when I look out of the window

Quiet weekend ahead so hoping to get a fair bit done in the house. I have been so lazy this week :o
