sorry but if you recycle your vouchers you can easy be quids in.. no serous effort required..

one £10 spend on a toothbrush can give you £16 voucher.

that £16 voucher can get you a £20 voucher

and on .. and on.. and on..

so £10 intial outlay and pennies on a spend if really needed = a lot of shopping..

i do believe it wont be getting pulled soon though but for hte reason as i said earlier. for every 1 person doing it how many thousands are not and thus making tesco money on there over priced items...

I'd like to see a breakdown of just one real example of four shops from you. From initial spend to fourth shop to demonstrate how much your saving...trust me no one will have spent just £10 and a few pennies and got £100 plus worth of stuff...in theory it possible but prove it as I believe it would take 8 to 10 shops. More petrol more time and more risk.

why 4 shops?? even IF you stuck Fully to the T+C and only did 5 PER month you could recycle your voucher over and over spending the £20voucher each time..

    £10 outlay.. £20 voucher
    £20 voucher
    £20 voucher
    £20 voucher
    £20 voucher
    ....
    £20 voucher
    £20 voucher
    £20 voucher
    £20 voucher
    £20 voucher
    ................
    £20 voucher
    £20 voucher
    £20 voucher
    £20 voucher
    £20 voucher
    ................

even if the real basket i s only half thats still £10 each time for just that initial £10 outlay......

Ok use as many shops as you like then from start to finish actual things brought...and compare that to Asda spend.
For starters you can't spend just £10 and get a voucher for £20. The old days of baileys have long gone.

    1. How do you get £20 from a £10 spend? Best seems to be £16 for a kids toothbrush, which is useless to many and very overpriced for anyone else.
    2. You are only allowed 10 claims per calender month
    3. When recycling, you are buying exclusively overpriced items - I think that's the main point Buyer is making.

I think your missed my point totally. It not just about getting a voucher. Not all items you buy are dtd some are over ...some under ...some about even. You will.always end up paying a £1 or so on every spend. Again if you could demonstrate through real examples then it would really help your argument.
  • Ok so the voucher exchange is on....and can be used on toiletries...

Can you exchange a £5 voucher for £10 voucher to be used on toiletries and use it on
    ......suncream?
    ......lynx?
to the value of £10 and then pay using the voucher. Then claim back DTD on the receipt?

Would this be allowed or work?

Agree with this. I usually go £1 or 2 over my voucher but as the voucher has been or will be recycled from an original shop, I am still to the good. I buy a mix of overpriced bits (eg hand trimmed lamb) and items that only give some DTD (eg tetley tea bags) but in the long run, I know that what I take home works out much cheaper than it would had I made the same trips to, and bought the same from Asda or anywhere else.

Even if I wouldn't usually buy hand trimmed lamb!

Another point is that it is giving some folk the opportunity to try new/more expensive brands and treats for their children/relatives/charities which surely can only be a good thing.;)
