Ye just wondered what the deal was, loving the current promo :D
Would the overcharge dtd apply to promos, a week or so ago I got the 3 for 1 ice cream and went through the SS which didn't take of the discount went to CS and they refunded and rescanned, said offers don't always work on SS. Should I have gotten DTD??

P.S I know it's too late to do anything now, just informing myself for future rip offs :D

As I know SC is not working for DTD in store.
As this could be used and abused.
    Stupid but its Tesco again.

I've been doing this for approx 1 wk.I now use one of 5 tescos in my local area (all within 5 miles of my house - not tried the metros around here as well!) and although I haven't been looking all the time, I haven't noticed any other DTD'ers. Usually, there's a stock of most things as well - lamb, cornettos, pancake powder etc.

Also, some staff round here just scan the vouchers without flinching and others read them first and then scan them, suggesting they haven't seen them before.

no people are catching on , like today i overheard some guy talking bout sun cream and he was like ' we buy this and its free , and from what i heard he was just buying it because its free , but it annoyed me , how much sun tan lotion you need in england , even if you go on holiday , how much you going to use ?

people like that annoy me , doing it for the sake of it , if your going to do it , do it for something worthwhile your going to use , something you buy anyway ,something that will save you money , not 100 quids worth of sun tan lotion because your to thick to work out a proper list

needless to say i waited for the !!!!! , gave him a slap and smashed his suntan lotion ,knobs like that are going to ruin it for the rest of us

I have done this too, she loves it, lots of extra treats :T
I am sure that you have explained how this works, so that they can DTD and keep it going? Otherwise your efforts could come to an abrupt halt!

Doing multiple shops is abusing the offer and is greedy. When I do my next shop at Tesco, I am probably going to pay 30% of the cost I would pay with no DTD scheme. I am not really using the offer as it was designed because I'm a MSE and I am taking advantage of the differences. But I will stick to the limits, Tesco have created, because I play to the rules.

Sticking to the rules? Trying to gain a 70% discount on your shopping using products you know are cheaper in asda

Does this mean the rule of 'the spirit of the promotion'

I am sorry but in my opinion you are a hypocritical poster.

We are all playing the game. Some more than others.

I am shopping everyday at 2 stores trying to get my cupboards full as I am low on cash at the moment

You are just the same as me

    Rant over.

Normally I'm one for a good old debate, in fact my partner and I 'debated' this on the way home from Mr T's this afternoon. But isn't this a pricechecker thread, not an ethical issues/consumer rights/capitalism thread?

Anyhow.... possible find... did search it and found no other posts, but apologies if it's a golden oldie

Colgate Max White Sonic Power Toothbrush

    £6.12 - Mr T

    £3.00 - Mr A

  • Can I ask if we can have a list of the editors of the spreadsheet please? I'd like to think that I had added thanks to all of them. Goodness knows how they keep up with all this!
