?Our window cleaning has gone up from £12 to £15 a time. We have little Georgian pains downstairs and flat replacements upstairs. 4 bed detached so quite a lot of windows but it seems a lot. Am I being mean. I am thinking of stopping and doing them myself/getting the kids to help (for cash probably). Feel bad as it is the guys business but I think they are being a bit greedy in such times. How much do you pay (bear in mind we are in the south east and everything is bl@@dy expensive here)

£7.. 5 bed.. 3 rec. rooms inc 2 bays, 2 bathooms and 3 huge windows in kitchen.

Might it be worth just getting the upstairs done and get boyo's to do downstairs

Julie Jim - we're not that far from you:D

I've just decluttered a phone call - i got a shiny new (expensive ) mobile phone last week and I thought that the cost of the service providers insurance was exorbitant.
I have just phoned my contents insurance policy people and my phone is covered on that. Cost to replace the handset if lost, stolen or damaged. Worth knowing, I nearly had double insurance

My mum gets her windows done every fortnight for £3.50 a time. She has 6 windows. So £15 is rather a lot even if you just gave the kids a couple of £ each it would still work out cheaper.

Seem to have a cement mixer outside on my front lawn, not too sure what it is doing there or when it arrived, I am sure it was not there last night when I went to bed, there is no sign of any builders out in the road, but I know next door are about to have work done, so may be it is something to do with them~~If it is still there at lunctime, I will go about and ask.
can't believe you haven't ebayed it already... :p

£16 a time and I have 9 1950s crittals with multiple panes, modern french windows and two other plastic windows plust two tiny panes in the back doors. Maybe I should get another quote (and maybe another window cleaner wouldn't just appear at the window without warning, or try to talk to me through the window when I'm talking to clients on the phone... I keep telling him I work from home on the phone ). He does them approx every 5 weeks, but there is no regular day, or no warning that he's coming.

No flying yet... but then the week isn't over is it :)

  • Wow! I'm horrified at how much everyone is paying for their window cleaning! I've been paying £3 a month for a 2 bedroom house then a 2 bedroom bungalow for years. Mind you, I havent seen the window cleaner for months. Maybe he's gone out of business. I figured I should really do them myself as I now live in a bunglow...

My cousin is coming round at 1 to do a reflexology treatment. I think I've got time to fit in a HHC. Anyone in?

    i pay £7 for a 3 bedroomed semi.......

I am taking my anger out on the ironing...what am I angry about? Eamonn Holmes inability to do his research before he interviews anyone..... He was interviewing Kay Gilderdale today ( she helped her daughter commit suicide) - he got facts wrong, hadn't done his research and his comments at the end were pathetic!

Holds head in hands in sheer disbelief....

Gggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrr I am starving and am now too angry to eat..... *spits feathers and chips*

I hate midwives... hate hate hate..... 5 weeks ago they were supposed to have sent the physio referral.. did she do it? did she !!!!!!!!!!!! I have been waiting on that appointment.. and the lazy bint didn't even send the form in...

I am so angry I have now told them not to bother and I will be in pain and struggle like I did last time when they at least had the honesty to refuse to do it to my face...

I don't care if it is cutting off my nose to spite my face.. they don't want to do anything to help me why should I pander to their whims and go to stupid waste of time appointments... It pees me off they say 'what can we offer you/do to help' .. I ask for 1 thing and they don't bother.. then wonder why I don't believe a word of their lies....

ARGH!!!!!! I hate being this angry.. it just makes me cry which makes my head ache and me angrier lol

On a plus note.. Squeak appears a bit better today, though still a clingon and I have decluttered £400 on bills..

WM done so i shall go hang it up.. Squeak has run out of bibs!!
