WooHoo it's friday !!!!! kids last day of school i'm so chuffed...:D:D

Plan today is loads of flying and get everything ready for DD tonight.
I've the next week planned with loads of jobs i never get round to but when there done everything should run alot more smoothly.

DW and WM on already. May need to go into minor injury's as Rhys has hurt his ankle, he'll walk on it but he walks funny. Or he won't walk on it and just lies on the floor moaning, so somethings wrong. He woke during the night but didn't stand up as usual so best get it checked.

Right i best get the rest ready and away to school...
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Anyone got any spare spoons? 2 consecutive 12+hr work days after 3 years of only an hr or 2 a few days a week has left me exhausted. Had to get up at 0600 to finish the accounts (due yesterday afternoon but lost 1 1/2 days work in computer crash) But they are finally in so its a good sort of tired.

Feel like I haven't got the energy to fly, but kitchen looks like something exploded (which is strange 'cos we got a takeaway last night because I was working)

Have paper strewn everywhere from the work and it all needs filing.

All I really want to do is go back to bed or sit and read a book. But hound is looking at me expectantly.

OK rant over. (((hugs))) to all in need.

  • ETA: sorry didnt realise that was war and peace down there. Must have needed to get it off me chest - feel free to ignore :)

    morning all :)

Happy Birthday irchy-mum and I'm guessing, penblwydd hapus i jennyjewel

Got my self into a RIGHT state yesterday, we're talking full water works before this barnardos meeting.
Turned out okay, little lass we were there to talk about (we'll call her flower) spent most of the meeting in my lap, which was sweet :)
Basically my friend wants me to be the mediator with the family, making sure what she wants is done and not what people to close in think is best. And I volunteered to do some respite care for the kids, and somehow agreed to take them all iceskating.... ohhkay then :rotfl: it's flower's birthday in a week or so, so skating it is :)
Felt almost sorry for flower's dad, was like a coven of witches all sat round (not all of us are ;) ), if the old energy was flowing he'd have fell down dead where he sat!!
Anyhoo the upshot is, little lass's dad is a serious poopoohead and I got nothing done. I mean not even taking my own cups to the dishwasher, so was flying in reverse.

Didnt help as the night before I'd had a horrendous riding lesson, why oh why does no one listen to me??? put the horse in situation he'd not been in before and was unlikely to cope with. I told her the horse was unhappy, I told her he was gonna bolt. She said I'd be fine. I think i was damn lucky to stay on! Poor thing was petrified and gallopped sideways which really shook me up and then of course wouldn't listen. It's one thing to push them through a spooky spot but a complete other to force them on when their in that state and there's no need to. Anyway, no flying done then either, so wednesday's tea dishes are sat in my sink "soaking" sorta ;)

Today's job will be to rectify my mess - should help out emotionally too :)
So dishes to be sorted and collected from lounge and bedroom.
and the kitchen to be re-tackled
    Curry to make in bulk
also plum dipping sauce as I got some in my veg box and wont eat them raw, Never tried with yellow plums before but should taste just the same :D
Might make some marshmallow crispies as I got the ingredients for that.
and then bathroom if I have time.
No studying for me today, I dont think I could work out nitrate ratios with my head the way it is.

Anyways Hugs and sticks and spoons - and possibly marshmallow crispies to all :) I'm gonna put the kettle on and see if I can make a space in the kitchen to put all the crockery I'm gonna collect.

    HHC at 8:45 anyone?

    Morning all

Not a lot of flying planned past the dailies. Friend coming around later so need to bake a cake and take the boys for new cricket shoes as the pre season friendlies start this weekend so back to grass and ball stained whites for me for the next few month.

DS3 hearing is way off again and he now wants to have grommits so it must be annoying him. I'll make some enquiries later.

    Vanilla hope Rhys is ok

Given I'll be 54 this year - the idea of "career progression" is a bit of a non sequitur given I was a high-flyer in a previous life....
Thanks - e) has one vote...

dear Soappie... don't forget our retirement date has gone up again: I'm 54 on Easter Sunday. (oh lor, I sound like me mum:eek:)

I like e); however, and I know you know this, the thing about applying for jobs when they are advertised internally, even though you know all the ins and outs of office procedures and office gossip and how people have their tea, you still need to have a really good crack at the person specification and job description, even though they know you know the job and the organisation. [STRIKE]How have you made a difference to them, saved them money etc. [/STRIKE]

I believe it is called "bigging yourself up" :rotfl:

Still fluttering, still doing vintage fairs:D

    I'm back..

    In my HHC:

    changed the cat litter
    cleaned the kitchen bin (grim)
    unloaded the WM
Put half in the TD (no chance it will dry on line)
    Put half on the line
Started to tidy our bedroom, but need a caffeinne boost before I tackle it

    Off I go again.............

  • In my HHC I:

collected all the lost and lonely dishes from round the house
de-cluttered the work top in the kitchen
sorted the table and did the shredding that needed to be done.
had a brief finance chat with DH. (made a proper Whoops this month, I've pinched out of the yearly car budget to cover it ) hopefully we've made a plan :) and it wont happen again.
    filled the DW
and scooped everything up off the lounge floor

got big dishes to do and hoover right through.
    And the bathroom needs doing.
Gonna air the summer duvet too - because we found it.... after pulling out the most of the attic ...................... it's in a storage box under the bed. we did this so we wouldn't have to search for it in the attic ;) ahhh genius ;)
