    Morning all

I didn't spend any time online yesterday, other than researching directions to a wildlife park. DH's idea. :T We had a lovely time looking at lions, lemurs etc. Also called at a shopping centre on the way home to keep DH happy - I went a bit mad in the cadbury's factory shop. Then he went bowling while DS2 and I visited friends down the road for a cuppa. I fed the boys and myself and other than that just managed to declutter stuff from the sky+ box and finish my book.

    Plan for today:
turf DS1 out of bed, as he's needed to look after DS2
hoover and tidy LR (won't take long)
one chicken in SC and the other in freezer
    freeze chicken fillets
    DW
strip beds, wash bedding, re-make beds
    sort through dry laundry
spend a couple of hours or so at school
    do stuff from lists
    HW with DS2

After chilling yesterday I should have enough motivation and energy to get lots done today.

I've sorted e-mails and skimmed through the thread this morning, without remembering much. Looks like quite a few of you could do with hugs and spoons. x

ETA Runs to catch up with Maxonian to feed DS2, wake DS1 and get dressed.

    Apart from that, doing OK.

  • Good morning everyone!

So far I've changed the bedding and put the dirty stuff in the wm... and that's about it :o

Today is a busy day with uni work, I'm working on an oral history project with a friend so we are off to interview a couple of people this afternoon. At the moment I'm frantically researching and ignoring the dust all over the place...

So, today's list for when I get back this evening is going to be quite gentle:
dust living room/bedroom (have been neglecting this for weeks...)
vacuum all clear floors in the flat
and anything else I can think of that won't distract me from my work for too long! ;)

Hope everyone has a lovely day

    M x

Mrs Chaos I'm glad you had a good day.

Soappie - I have no idea but didn't want to ignore you.

?Our window cleaning has gone up from £12 to £15 a time. We have little Georgian pains downstairs and flat replacements upstairs. 4 bed detached so quite a lot of windows but it seems a lot. Am I being mean. I am thinking of stopping and doing them myself/getting the kids to help (for cash probably). Feel bad as it is the guys business but I think they are being a bit greedy in such times. How much do you pay (bear in mind we are in the south east and everything is bl@@dy expensive here)

    Plan for today:
turf DS1 out of bed, as he's needed to look after DS2 - still in bed, but 'on-call'
    hoover and [STRIKE]tidy LR[/STRIKE] (won't take long)
one chicken in SC and the other in freezer - both in bin as I waited too long :o
    freeze chicken fillets
    DW
strip beds, wash bedding, re-make beds
    sort through dry laundry
spend a couple of hours or so at school - I have until 2 o'clock (if I ever get there)
    do stuff from lists
    HW with DS2
do car stuff (this is a MUST)

Not too bad, but I'm still not dressed. :o DS2 has eaten, but not much. :(

Dusty - 6 windows (1 with pretend lead strips stuck on) for just short of £5. £15 does seem excessive - could you reduce the frequency? We were asked if we wanted them doing fortnightly or monthly. Maybe your window cleaner would prefer £12 every month to £15 every 6-8 weeks.

ETA A friend's son was doing panto over Christmas and couldn't believe that even the prices at the local Argos were higher than they are here. How can that be justified.

Cake's in the oven - they're now making smoothies - I think I may go and do a HHC in my bedroom out of the way.

    HHC @ 10.45 anyone?

Sounds like a lovely day Mrs Chaos.

Oh my Dusty - that is a lot.

Ours went up to £8 from £6 last year when we added a small conservatory.
Our house is a small 3 bed detached. Leaded windows at the front in 3's so 3 panes downstairs, 3 panes upstairs and the bathroom and a small hall window.
Kitchen, patio, 2 beds at the back - utility on the side and a conservatory £8 every 4 weeks. It is the North though!

getting on with my chores slowly.........don't seem to be making much progress though

I pay £3 for the front of the house or £7 if they do all of it - they can only do the back if I'm at home. But I do live in a 3 bed semi in Stoke!

All clean clothes folded and put away. Bin with all odd socks has been emptied. Another wash load on and more dirty washing gathered up.

Dusty hope your DS3 is feeling better soon.

Rhys seems fine this morning so maybe it was a sleepy foot. :rotfl:
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
