I`m Back! Had a lovely morning on the ward, but I bet it`ll be carp tomorrow again, Mondays always are.
Buffy - ((HUGS)) We`ve missed you here, sorry you sound fed up but having a good moan does you good.
Gilly - hope your son`s GF is ok soon, and as for the sunshine...it`s started raining here, as you might expect - don`t go by the weather forecast, just take a peep at my off-duty!
Donna - I had every intention this morning of coming home and getting on with Project Bedroom, but I don`t feel like it now...you`re right, it IS Sunday after all!
I`m going to cook a chicken for tonight and tomorrow after work, freeze the leftover lamb from last night, and then just have a quiet potter...0 -
DH has done a ton of work today around the house and in the garden, looks great now. I am making gifts .Hope everyone feels better soon.0

Afternoon Messies.
Hi, hopefulMS, and very well done at getting the flat under some sort of control! I think you were very brave to take it on, and take him on, too, maybe. That's love for ya!
Emms, what a wonderfully short day for you. And, yes, it is the day of rest, so rest as much as you can.
Lovely to see you back again, Buffy. Sounds as if things aren't too good, but <hugs> to you, and here's hoping the situation improves soon.
What a shame about your son's gf, gilly. I do hope they find out what's wrong, and can help soon.
I love reading about the shops that people have locally, in gilly's case, Maplins and Costco. We don't have either on the Island, and didn't have either in the area of Surrey where we used to live, either. We don't have an Asda, although we thought they were buying land to build a branch, but it's yet to materialise. The first Aldi is being built/opened on the other side of the island, and Waitrose opened their branch just 18 months ago. We do have branches of the other big supermarkets, though, but they're all at least 12 miles away, and Mr T about 15 miles. all of which explains why a lot of local businesses still continue on this side, which is no bad thing.
Perfectly clear blue sky here so far today, although there are now clouds building up to the NE. The Solent looked a wonderful silvery blue when we were coming back from church this morning and, with all the yachts out, it looked beautiful. Shame I didn't have my camera.0 -
Hi All
All waxing has been done and woodwork now looks lovely.
Been to the hospital to visit son's GF. The nurse on the ward asked me what I was in for this time - very pleased on this occasion to say I was a visitor. She is having an MRI in the next day or so, but they seem to have ruled out MS - we are just hoping it is a virus that has thrown her body all akimbo.
Been to B&Q for a refund £135 back
Costco - £127 spent, all shopping put away and freezer sorted
Had a Chinese takeaway for dinner0 -

I do have a lovely DH. I am a housewife so I do the vast majority of the housework but DH washes up after tea, puts the recycling out, acts in a supporting role when I get mental block, makes pizza and does lots of tasks that he doesn't like but need to be done :j Yesterday he tidied up the garden, filled the fireplace with lovely logs (purely decorative) and did some other puttery stuff.
I am making a lap quilt for my mum, not quite sure why I decided to try a pinwheel design rather than something really simple as I left it this late (I hand make stuff, no sewing machine) but there you go!
Today I have to put the laundry away, put the washing up away, clean the bathroom, do the floors and clean out the bunny pen. Think that's about it for today. Have a good day everyone.0 -
Spent this morning after school drop off at my friends house for an impromptu coffee morning with the girlies. it was really great to listen to everyone's troubles and know I'm not alone. Think it was shout at your partner weekend this weekend as everyone had a tale to tell about how their partner/husband/boyfriend had  them.
Went to Tesco for voucher shop (they've sent me vouchers and they've got offers on but found out that pickle isn't a table sauce so put that back (why is in that isle then, put it with the jam and stuff), but then worked out I don't have the requisite number of items (8) for the pricecheck thing)
Got back, put shopping away and dealt with emithers. No jobs I want to apply for but can see what looks like my old job being advertised by my old company (I was made redundant so they're not supposed to do this, even with a change of job title?).
stood in [STRIKE]conservatory[/STRIKE] dumping ground and picked up the first box I came to (after moving dog blanklets and other chucked in items) took it to dining table (after clearing table of Sunday papers into magazine rack) and sorted contents of box. Went back, found another bag of ex work stuff which I have no idea why I brought home or why i've kept it - just chucked it all in recycling . v cathartic. :j
Done another box and another big binbag and found current calendar, boys xmas presents and next year's calendar. which must have been on my desk on Thursday when it was cleared.
going to have lunch now (butternut squash soup)
think I might be done by xmas.:rotfl:
Mum text to ask if I want the sofa bed she's got - think i'll take it as it'll be good for if we have ppl over.
have a good day all

Sounds like your trip to Tesco was blimmin frustrating!
Re: your old job - that doesn't sound right - I thought employers had a duty to redeploy before they made redundancies? but I am no expert - ask on the Legal Board
You are on gas today - all those boxes/bags in minutes lol! Keep going you'll be able to fit that sofabed in x
