I hope you're feeling ok Hart.

    Thanks for the recipe Snooky!

last night I had time for one load of washing. I suppose if I don't get a job straight away after the redundancy on 1st July at least I'll have time for that deep clean...!

Thank you ginger :D How are your lovely ladies and Sebastian this morning :D

The ladies are well, and I've noticed that Sebastian likes a little bit of jiggy before he has breakfast! ;)

    Hello fellow messies.

Hart…… I’m glad the OP went well. I hope your not in too much pain.

I have been slacking the last few days. With my mood & motivation dropping again.

Yesterday after speaking to the doctor he has now diagnosed me with depression. Being a carer for 3 people who already have depression I know only to well I have been hiding it for years! :o

    Anyways about the mess.

I now have a kitchen I can use & see in! Its fantastic, I recommend it! LOL

I never got around to doing the paperwork, But I think I’ll leave that to my OH as he is a horder.

Over the weekend I think I’m going to do some more de-cluttering.

    Good luck all.
    Future goals:
    Become debt free.
    Beat Depression.
    Be happy & healthy

:D Do these blasted things breed or what?! I'm sure I never bought them, I mean, I remember buying 2 of them in a c.s. but the others? Nah, must have been left here by the pixies.

:) So have culled 3 of them, which leaves me with the ones I'm using plus some spares for things I may need in the future. Have also turfed out some craft material from a hobby which I haven't done for (ahem) 20 years and realistically won't do again. Listed it on Freecycle so that they can go to someone who will get the benefit and be out of my way. Win win.

Off the premises today; 3 ring binders, 1 picture which lived in a cupboard :o and up to the charity shop.

:o:o I still haven't cleaned the stove top and it's gross and I will do it any day now. :o:o

Have a load of washing on so that I can leave it on the airer before work and then come home and i*ron some of it.

Have a good day messies old and new.

I know what you mean. I must have dozens of them and lever arch files. If that`s the case why do I have so many pieces of paper lying around not filed. :o

Will definately make a start on clearing some of them today. It`s a lot of old work filing which I don`t refer to any more. Can reuse the back of the notes as scrap paper.
I will then be left with thousands of plastic wallets. What can I do with them?

I will plan 30 mins of each work day into sorting out my old files, drawers and desktop.

Haven`t done much cleaning or decluttering but have managed to keep up with washing and ironing.

I am a slug hunt in the kitchen today. Got up this morning and found a snail trail on the mat.
Our cat has a habit of sleeping amongst the plants in the garden. There are lots of slugs and snails hidden in there. I can only think that she may have bought it in the house with her.
Had the same problem last year was finding them for weeks.

    Have a good day everyone

    Hi fellow messies -

Hart glad you are now home - do take it easy and have a swift recovery.

Princess87 - at least your GP is on board now - depression is something the 3 of us (myself, OH and DD) all live with. It's disabling in so many insidious ways and creeps up on you without you noticing. Sounds as though you've been taking baby steps aplenty in your kitchen.

gigervamp - paperwork is the bane of my life. Having been made redundant at the end of March I have all my work related paperwork in addition to home stuff to sort. Home stuff is now getting there, and I have shredded all the stuff I'd been hoarding for years :T

Washing is on the line, although weather looks dicey, and another load on. Snake food thawing and further tidying will be done (not sure what yet). Baby steps.....

Glad you op went well Hart 44, it's a good reason to sit, drinking coffee and do nothing;), hope the pain goes soon.

I have decided the kitchen HAS TO be done by Friday evening at the very lastest, that way it will be a birthday present to myself on Saturday :D, I have got just 1 more cupboard to declutter and then clean the top of the fridge, the walls, the window, maybe the ceiling and , then i'm finished yay.............Well finsihed in the kitchen that is, still got a long way to go in the house yet :o.

Keep up the good work messies, and hi to all you new messies.

    Afternoon messies!

Well yesterday I managed to do the washing up and ironing before heading to work for a late shift. Today I am on a late shift again and I've been out to do the weekly food shop - spent 23 quid which isn't too bad!

I'm going away next week Mon till Fri, so OH will have to fend for himself! He doen't plan well at all, prefers to make it up as he goes along lol.

Anywhoo, better get lunch underway then head to work. Have a good day everyone and take it easy HART, keep rested! x
