Now the tricky part - how do I get my compulsively untidy, every-surface-is-an-area-begging-to-be-covered husband to keep it that way!

With great difficulty! I have one of those too!

Now then all, can you please stop doing the shredding of paperwork? You're making me feel lazy! :rotfl: I've been putting it off for ages. I have several recepticles for paperwork, all of which are bulging/unable to close.

Wow - I don't get on here for a short time and pages of baby steps - and good to see some people taking 'contemplation' days.

Spent some of the weekend planting out into my new raised bed, and putting in plants - tbh if it's nice weather I'd rather be in the garden, but I did get the washing hung out and kitchen tidied, hall swept and bathroom and upstairs hoovered.

Paperwork is now coming under control and new shredder arrived today which will help, as will the large number of filing boxes I picked up free from someone on e-bay. I will use what I need and freecycle the rest. Need to cover them in some way as they are strong cardboard but not very pretty.

Between OH's doctors appointment and an afternoon discussing possible work I have done nothing domestically today. I will take some baby steps tomorrow as I am home all day.

Oh and in the sorting I found the charger for my mobile (which I thought I'd lost and would need to buy a new phone - how mse is that).

Hi everyone. I could not sleep last night so ended up downstairs cleaning till four in the morning. Im lucky as we live on the end so most of the rooms are not connected to our next door neighbour.
    Kt that sausage cassarole
A jar of dolmio or any other pasta sauce,
    Sweetcorn and carrots,
    onion
    mushrooms
    Eight sausages or more.
Grill the sausages then add the sauce and veg ,put in oven at gas mark five and leave for an hour.

Our kids love this and always ask for more.

:D Do these blasted things breed or what?! I'm sure I never bought them, I mean, I remember buying 2 of them in a c.s. but the others? Nah, must have been left here by the pixies.

:) So have culled 3 of them, which leaves me with the ones I'm using plus some spares for things I may need in the future. Have also turfed out some craft material from a hobby which I haven't done for (ahem) 20 years and realistically won't do again. Listed it on Freecycle so that they can go to someone who will get the benefit and be out of my way. Win win.

Off the premises today; 3 ring binders, 1 picture which lived in a cupboard :o and up to the charity shop.

:o:o I still haven't cleaned the stove top and it's gross and I will do it any day now. :o:o

Have a load of washing on so that I can leave it on the airer before work and then come home and i*ron some of it.

Have a good day messies old and new.

    Morning,

Hart I am glad you are OK, make sure you DO rest and don't be tempted to do "just one wee thing".

I am at home this week and so far have gotten nothing done as DS2 was off school too, but he's away this morning and I need to get stuck into the house. Kitchen is looking a bit frayde around the edges again, as is the upstairs hall. Livingroom is a tip of the highest order too. I feel completely overwhelmed and frustrated. I shall try my hardest not to turn this darned thing on too often today, put the music on loudly and get stuck in. Good luck to you all today xxx
