Oooh can I join you here??

I posted a thread explaining that i'm new to all this and have a 9month old son and 2 mad border collies to contend with (plus a v laxy other half!!)

Although I have lived in my own home for 10 years I have never been very houseproud and preferred to spend my time dog training and sewing (odd combination I know)

Now that bubba is here I am trying to turn over a new leaf and learn to cook and keep the house tidy......but it's hard , especially when working 3 days a week and having 2 dogs that LOVE to get wet and muddy whenever possible.

So...today i managed to wipe the kitchen sides, sweep the kitchen floor, wipe the fronts of the units and hoover the lounge. FOr a work day that's a miracle!!!

Welcome Leanneh :D and DitaBombita :D
This is a great place to visit when the house is getting too much to handle, Im so glad I found it too :D
Im a cleaner for my sins and will happily scrub the 2 houses and the play center where I work till they shine but I just cant get motivated enough to do mine :o but coming in here I have at last cleaned my 2 fridges and my bathroom is now easy to keep on top of after spending 2 hours cleaning it :o just the oven to sort out oh and the obstacle course I call my bedroom :o

I love coming on here and not feeling a failure if you can't get anything done ( my sewing is my weakness :rotfl:)
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

Welcome to the new messy people. Im just about to go to bed but I have a need to look on this thread more than once daily. Iv got oh parents coming tommorrow so Ill get stuck into the housework in the morning.
Cheeky oh has invited them for tea and its my turn to cook!. Sausage cassarole for tea as its easy and Iv lots of sausages.

Dog and cats have trailed mud from outside through the house all day so Im sick ofthe mop. One of the bed cats has come down looking for me. Ill hear a little cry soon which means are you coming to bed. We call them bed cats as they live on the bed only appearing to be fed or go outside. Our dog gave one of them a big face lick, she is the only cat he is not bullied by.
Anyway Im prattling on. One tip though, smelly underarms on shirts apply white vinegar before washing. The vinegar will also act as a softner. Iv just given that tip out to someone on the old style thread and thought Id bore you lot with it.
Anyway Im going to bed. Night night.

    Morning Everyone

Feeling sleepy and lazy this morning, but determined to do a little bit before work. I could do with mopping the floors which I meant to do yesterday but failed to do, so hopefully today's the day.

Off to check the weather forecast as I need to wash a blanket but have nowhere to dry inside at the moment.

:T Hello Messies old and new, good to see that we're all muddling on although some of your have got the rain which should be mine and I'm sooooo envious........

:( Slight disappointment when I logged on this morning as the thingy which I'd posted on Freecycle and which had only one taker isn't going after all. Will wait a few days and see if anyone else asks for it but at least it's portable enough and good enough to take to the charity shop.

Bin men are supposed to come today......allegedly.

:) Apart from keeping up with dishwashing and counter-cleaning, I have done burger-all as have been very busy with work and errands and watering the allotment. Next 3 days will be manic as on a training course so may be a bit MIA as well as collapsing into a pile whenever I stop.

hart44 hope all goes well with your op and that you are waited on hand-and-foot at home.

:T Have a great day all of you. I may try to clean a few cupboard doors between tea-making and might, at some point this week, clean my stove top. It's brown. The whole stove is brown, btw, but not that particular shade.:o

    Morning all.

Glad to see everyone’s making such great progress.

I was very lucky yesterday. I had a appointment with an Avon SL to become a rep. So whilst she was here giving me the “talk” my partner decided it was too much for him, So he finished the kitchen off.

We now have cupboards we can see in! We don’t have to fight for a saucepan XD

    All washed, cleaned & organised.!

The last few days, I have been really down, serious CBA attitude. But I am determined to over come that.

I’ve not got that much to do today, Other then the normal, Make the bed, Wash dishes ect..

Keep up the good work everyone, Thank you for your support!

  • Good morning fellow messies lovely to new people joining in.

hart44 hope all goes well with your op take it easy and dont fret the mess health is far more important.

I'm still in the doldrums and finding any effort impossible. Washing up is being done by OH after I have cooked dinner so kitchen is OK. I'm keeping the one corner clear and trying to wipe sides etc that can be seen. Will be visiting v. sick friend in hosp after work so don't know when I'll be home or how much I'll feel like doing.

Onwards and upwards as they say.

Good morning all - welcome to the new messies.

Have been managing to keep up with the washing and ironing/folding. :) Still have the basket of ironing hidden in the spare room though :(
The only problem is now that I need to sort the drawers, wardrobes and cupboards out before I can put any more things away.

Have lots of shredding to do still - so will make a start today.

hart44 - hope your operation goes well

Greyqueen - hope you get your much needed rain soon. It`s sunny here at the moment but rains forecast for later. We had a hail storm yesterday afternoon. The stones were as big as a `Malteeser`.

Have a good day everyone :)
